Where was that on the second post of the thread? The main title of this section of the forum is *Gas Works* The main forum for Bristol Rovers talk. It says absolutely nothing about England Squads on there. That is why it should be moved to a relevant section of the forum. It is NOT Bristol Rovers related. Agreed!! But the op has form, countless city threads, now it's England, garunteed if it was someone else who posted it he would be whinging like a baby to get it moved. Just wait till he reads these posts, it'll be like a toddler throwing a tantrum.

I did post a while back saying that the forum rules would relax during the world cup..... I know this might not before the purist, but the majority seem happy and it gives us mods a break from shifting threads around for a while.... All back to normal after the competition....

I work with two Tunisians, but England's past footballing history has made me very quiet. Not much banter going on.

A mixed performance but on the whole I thought we did very well. Some of the best football I have seen us play for a long time in that first half and to grind out a win at the end will be a massive boost. We didn't get the rub of the green at all, ref/VAR were very unfair with their decisions. Southgate is actually doing a very good job IMO.

Can we have a temporary England Match Day Thread on the main forum just for the duration of the World Cup?

The two young uns Rashford and Loftus-Cheek made all the difference in the end. Trippier mom for me he hugged the touchline and gave them something to think about all game playing at high tempo. Ref did us no favours but neither did Dele, he clearly wasn't right and should have been honest enough to say so so we could have replaced him sooner.

I thought the performance was good. There were plenty of chances created, especially in the first half, which was good to see. If the team are creating, then eventually they will score. It's when no chances are being created you start to worry, aka Germany ! It was good to see Stones, MaGuire and Walker coming forward with the ball. In the past, teams would just let the Centre Half's, like Jones or Smalling, have the ball knowing that they wouldn't have a clue what to do with it. In Sir Harry Kane we have surely the best No.9 in the World? Both his goals were from his ability to find that yard of space in a crowded penalty box. That may sound easy, but it obviously is not. Watch the way he gave 'the eye' to the keeper for the second goal. He looked as though he was going to head it to the far post, the keeper actually moves that way, and at the last moment he heads it into the near, with the keeper moving the wrong way. Quality. Possible changes? I think Southgate must be thinking of starting Rashford ahead of Sterling for the Panama game. Then again, he may be thinking that Panama will offer Sterling the chance to gain some confidence? I don't think there should be any thought given to 'giving some of the other players a game'. We should be starting the strongest possible eleven every game. I think the only time I was screaming at the tele was when Ashley Young lined up that free kick on the edge of the box when the score was 1-1. I just knew it was going over the bar. Didn't they hear me in Russia? Why wasn't Sir Harry lining that one up? Good result, good performance with plenty for Southgate to ponder.
