Fair play to him for all that he's done, BUT!! why would he need to tell everyone about his charitable contributions?
I don't go around telling everyone I know about all of my contributions.
It's all about him, always have been always will be.
The first interview he gave after their win against Liverpool, while still on the pitch "he doesn't know if he'll still be here next season, lets see what the future holds" Knowing full well what everyone would be talking about, not their win, but would he still be there next season (we all know he will btw!)
Like I said, it's all about him.

Have thoroughly enjoyed this world cup, credit to Russia, and all the teams involved who have all been up for it from the start, including England! none of the so called minnows have just rolled over and they have contributed to some very entertaining games, without getting in some cases there just rewards, have found myself enjoying games which on paper did not look very appetizing.Glad to see the so called favorites and big guns are not getting it all there own way, but then again there favorite tag ,given them by the media is based more on historical deeds rather than recent form and performances, Argentina last night being a prime example of what i mean.As for individuals many have caught the eye, though the media is obsessed with two or three,Ronaldo has obviously caught the headlines but in my opinion he is not easy to like or even admire, its all about him on and off the field, he stills rolls around like those blokes chasing a cheese down that hill in Gloucestershire every time he goes down, its a wonder they dont bring a full length mirror on every time he scores so he can admire himself!if its not him being the star he isn't interested, eg never acknowledged Bales brilliance in cham league final or gave him any credit, that said i respect his ability to influence games on his own and 4 goals giving 6 points says it all about a very average Portuguese side, this although for most of the two games he was a peripheral figure, but then again so was Harry Kane! As for England , i reckon we got something going here, thanks in no small part to Southgates management, which i must admit did not inspire me when he was appointed. there are no egos in the squad, an d the main thing ,no inter club jealousy, which the likes of Lampard , and Gerrard have admitted existed when MAN utd were winning everything, that jealousy would not have come from any of Fergies players, and it explains why the performances of the likes of Gerrard , Lampard and co never got any where near there club form, all has become clear and it does them no credit, so well done to Gareth and staff for creating the best team spirit i have known from an England team for many a year , and i am beginning to believe that spirit coupled with no small amount of ability will produce England s best tournament result for many a long year, Bit like Darrell's Rovers really, wonder if they been talking!come on England, and Rovers ! Plenty of good vibes about England at the moment but for me actions speak louder than words. We've scraped a late one goal win v Tunisia but much of the posititivity is based on the England camp saying all the right things, almost like a PR guru behind the scenes scripting everything and inviting the press in to play darts to get them on side. I really hope we build as the tournament progresses as there are no stand out sides, no-one to be scared of with every side having weaknesses to be exploited.

Good chance of us finishing 2nd in Group G now Belgium have won both their games so emphatically.
Germany look likely to finish 2nd (if they qualify) as Mexico only need a point vs Sweden to guarantee winning the group.
Brazil or Switzerland likely to win group E (most likely Brazil).
I actually think finishing 2nd could be advantageous to us as we could likely play the winners of Switzerland vs Mexico instead of Brazil vs Germany in the quarters.
I appreciate it's all ifs and buts saying all that, let's hope the Germans go out tonight!

But I will say Christano Ronaldo is a winner and probably the best player in the world. Hes fast, strong ,powerful, great in the air , the best at free kicks and he’s got tricks too and he wears his heart on his sleeve. Last euros he got injured early on in the final and played on as long as he could. You could see how much it meant to him when he came off he had his leg strapped up in ice stood next to the manager in the technical area willing his teammates on to victory. I can appreciate lots of English don’t like him because of the Rooney incident way back then but at the end of the day if he was English they would love him. He’s a winner and gives absolutely everything in every game I’ve ever seen him play, fair play to him I say.

Way too much football still to be played before I even start to think about the last 16. Don’t forget it needed an injury time goal v Tunisia to get those 3 points we’ve got and Belgium scored more v them than they did against our opponents tomorrow.

Ronaldo is unquestionably the best at the moment. There is so much to admire about his game, how he has adapted it over time to become probably the most complete striker since Pele, with seemingly no weaknesses. He is truly clinical in front of goal and has ice in his veins.
None of those things make him easier to enjoy watching, though. It’s a grudging appreciation that I feel, even if it’s impossible not to marvel at his feats. He is the ultimate clinician but I want an artist, and for all that his flaws are more apparent, Messi is a graceful genius of the game. I would love him to win the World Cup but sadly that looks near-impossible now.
Portugal and Argentina both lack much in the way of back up talent to their main stars. Aguero is class but clearly injured. Mascherano isn’t as mobile as before. The difference between the two sides is that if you take Ronaldo away from Portugal you have a team that works its collective arse off, is very organised and hard to beat. If you take Messi away from Argentina you have a shambles. That’s why Portugal are overpriced to win the World Cup at a generally available 16/1 (20/1 with 888Sport), given that there are no outstanding teams in the competition.

They did say Hazard, Lukaku picked up knocks yesterday so it kind of makes sense. Assuming we win today, should we also make wholesale changes next week to give the rest of the squad a game? Or should we stick with our best side as it is still a relatively new side and system so the more time they have to play together would be an advantage? Unless we win 5-0 today then we would have to win next week to top the group.

Socrates I for one still remember that game, that wink still makes me want to punch him in the face. However, if you are in the know and are trying to tell us to be more accepting of him as he has already signed for us but it can't be revealed until 1st July. THEN *fickle fan mode on* "He's one of our own, he's one of our own. Christiano Ronaldo, he's one of our own". *fickle fan mode off*

It did but we didn't get the rub of the green against Tunisia. Say for example their penalty wasn't given and one of ours was then it's 3-0. It was a much better and convincing victory than the eventual scoreline suggested IMO. The game should have been over by half time. Belgium looked dynamite at times and played some lovely stuff but they also looked vulnerable defensively. Tunisia created a lot more against them than they did us and if only they had someone to finish those chances, it could have been a different story. England will win today, no problem.

Unless we win 5-0 today then we would have to win next week to top the group. I wouldn't want to lose that last game but if we can make quite a few changes and draw, I would be happy. I think Rashford and Vardy could potentially test that Belgian defence anyway. Carrassco is an attacking midfielder, playing wingback or even LB at times.
