Best we can do in the short term without needing planning permission for next season Still need planning permission even for a temporary structure. Somebody better tell the cub then as there's no signs they've ever applied for pp recently or even in the past for the other tents? Ignoring the superstore the last pp was sought for a couple of portacabins in 1996! planningonline.bristol.gov.uk/online-applications/simpleSearchResults.do?action=firstPage

Look, we all know a new tent is not what we want.
It's like waking up christmas morning expecting a PS4 and getting an Atari 2600.
However, the club have surveyed the fans. They have sought to find out what we want.
Maybe this is a very cost effective way of addressing some of our gripes, and in turn increasing revenue.

Best we can do in the short term without needing planning permission for next season Still need planning permission even for a temporary structure. Gloucestershire cricket ( I go often) do what we are doing every year. At the start of the season only 3 sides are used. Then one by one tents go up and the overall capacity go from around 8000 to 14000 - 16000. They will start putting up the tents in a month for the India 20/20 Women's internationals and Somerset class. Three persons come with a clipboard and sign it off ( no p.p needed) . Below is the G.C.C.C planning since 2013 via B.C.C planningonline.bristol.gov.uk/online-applications/simpleSearchResults.do?action=firstPage

Frankly laughable in my opinion if a new tent can be classed as a start of the redevelopment of the Mem as headlined in the EP. That is unless.it will not be a tent but a permanant roofed structure that ties in wits the Dribuild stand etc. Another structure like the South West stand created last season will just be another reason for us to be a laughing stock for all and sundry. and if we achieve promotion - who will be laughing at us? Priorities - money spent on stands etc is money that could be spent on players

What are we going to do if we do get promoted stick a tent over the Mem to make it a overed all seater like the earlier poster suggested? If the ALQ's can't finance a new stadium they really should think about moving on, before the whole footballing world starts laughing at them.

I'll ask again - how can a fan owned club in Exeter City build a stand in less than 18 months?
A bloody tent whether short term or long-term does not get me thinking about parting with £350 for a season ticket.

By selling land behind the Big Bank for student accommodation also by developing and selling players for millions.

Priorities - money spent on stands etc is money that could be spent on players Unfortunately we won't attract the quality of players needed "to achieve promotion" whilst we remain at 'The Dump' if the players have options to go elsewhere - invariably the 'best' players do have options. We've hit our limit in terms of promotion IMO and will be 'treading water' at best for a long time to come. As one or two others on here have already suggested I've become resigned to it all - I was born into this club and there's no going back - I've bought my ST as usual and will carry on watching with no real hopes or expectations - sad really but that's the way it is.

I hope it's tied down pronto, as I understand the club can't get insurance, on it, so if someone comes along and steals it, we won't, apparently be covered.
