For anyone going tonight, take a good look at the Loftus Road Stadium. In my opinion, this is the closest model for a redeveloped Memorial Stadium. Indeed, the land available at Loftus Road is less than at the Mem.
They've not had a single development since 1981 apart from screwing seats to terracing. Probably not the most current example of stadium architecture to look at... Its a dump with lots of restricted views

In short. Footprint of ground level Shrewsbury size. Fill in corners and build above and back rather than just back. QPR ish but a bit more thought out

Its a dump with lots of restricted views Plenty of stadiums in the UK and Europe that would give a better understanding of what we can potentially build. Benteler-Arena, Erzgebirgsstadion, Inglostadt Sportpark all in Germany, Stadion Miejski in Poland, Stade du Moustoir in France, all developed a bit more recently than Loftus Road with fantastic results. Aue's Erzgebirgsstadion in particular is great, they've managed to retain the old floodlights to add to the character.

You are quite right, and I'm probably giving away my era with the comment, but I'm suggesting that the feel of a tight, 18.5k stadium is the most likely type of development that we could expect at the Mem - rather than the more expansive bowl types.
Personally, I'd be quite happy if we did go that way.

Wael mentioned 'hard' materials in an interview some time ago. I got the impression it wasn't a tent.
