Any idea how Hani managed to get in a position where he had total control over Weal's, Sami's & his own father's wealth to the extent they have no say how their own money is spent, or are you just making that up like does Gasincider now seems to because if fits your anti ALQ agenda? He is The Eldest Son. Simple you make it sound like the plot of a Western. I suppose Rovers is a bit of a spaghetti Western at times. At least the new chiefs from the East ran that god darn varmit Holtby outta town. Pupt! Ding! (That’s the sound of me spitting chewing tobacco into a metal container.)

What's yours? You're the one who seems so certain. What's your estimated cost of the new assets and what's the increased revenue generated from the bars etc? Certain of what, all I'm certain is that we spending a small fortune at the Mem, compared to the previous owners and also the last two summers. If it can be recoup in just one season it makes you wonder why we've been kept waiting so long for the match day experience to be improved. I suppose they were waiting for some stability, to get an idea of the crowd size as an established league 1 team. I've tried to find the average gate when we were last back in League one, but have failed. It does feel like there are more people at the games now than I remember last time round, so that could be the defining factor to take the plunge and make the investment.

The site on the link below is a great site for attendance stats, we're about 2,000 fans up on our last time in Div 1, not sure if that's down to DC's attractive football or just football is now more popular in the Bristol area. Attendances

Thanks Topper. So, an extra 2000 pasties/pies/pints that might be why it's more viable now.

For anyone going tonight, take a good look at the Loftus Road Stadium. In my opinion, this is the closest model for a redeveloped Memorial Stadium. Indeed, the land available at Loftus Road is less than at the Mem.

Someone told me that Goodison Park takes up less space than the Mem?

Someone told me that Goodison Park takes up less space than the Mem? Not quite. Sorry to be pedantic, but Goodison land is approx. 34,850m2, whereas the Mem site is 29,450m2
The Loftus Road site is tiny at 17,450m2

Someone told me that Goodison Park takes up less space than the Mem? Didn't AF post some superimposed pics of Goodison over the top of the Mem site? I'm sure it fitted??

They've also got a bit of car park, too, so the sites look about the same size to me.

Loftus Road seems to be about the same size as the existing mem footprint minus the car park.

They've not had a single development since 1981 apart from screwing seats to terracing. Probably not the most current example of stadium architecture to look at...
