I'm confused. Can someone confirm if Hamer is still gashead enemy number 1 or is it Tom Gorringe now Now listen to me pal. I aint th most intelligent but probably talk mare sense than th ones spouting off about what is and isnt, so......
Its a forum game of 'Goin round in Circles'
Usually made up of th same 5 or 6 dafties.
A poster says he knows something blah blah chuffkin blah, then another poster argues th first poster is wrong because he knows different.
A few more who can't seem to let anything go by without challenging it draw up their chair and enter th debate.
This carries on and on and on for on average 20 pages (btw, its th same old sh1te they've argued about at in at least another 20 threads) each one claiming they know something happened or dinnae happen. (are you still with me pal?)
Repeat process. (yous get th picture)
Th thread normally comes to a conclusion when it becomes plainly apparent to everyone reading that absolutely nobody has an actual chuffkin foggiest of anything that happened and they all sulk off for around 24 hours before resurrecting said thread or starting a new one to have another go.

That's the most sense that's been written on this forum for quite some time lol

Absolutely right ~ the thread can also get closed when the usual suspects start getting all green street with each other and a foster parent (or mod) has to stop the silliness

Absolutely spot on. This is the main reason that I took a self imposed 10 week break from here - so I could detox. I'm back on line now and nothing has Dam changed. No f**ker really knows anything, and if they know even a little bit they should probably keep quiet or someone may lose their job. It's draining reading through threads like it. I know I don't have to read them but I was doing so in the hope that I might find something meaningful, only to end up with nothing but a period of time wasted that I will never get back. The detox has helped and I won't be falling for it again.

Perhaps he should not have believed one word that wing commander Higgs passed on about negotiations with UWE, just as we all should have done when the previous board offered us the dream. Nothing to do with Higgs, part of the deal of the sale of the club was the guarantee to sign off on the new stadium. Hani assured the old board that the finance was in place as was the desire to get it built. They had the full SP on the stadium plans from the outset obstacles included. Every one of the old board members I have spoken to regarding the stadium told exactly the same story. The Higgs model could well have worked but the ALQs wanted significant changes to the design, what was going to be built (they wanted a hotel) and then the contractual financials. Even plans were redrawn on the UWE site. What Hamer should have said is we have seen the existing model, it is close to finalisation subject to any changes the new ownership may or may not want to make. So blame Hani for backing us out of the UWE as he’s the one that seems to be pulling the plug on the finances. Exactly what he has done with the training facility. Wanted a £10-12m academy for £2.5m. Last time I checked magic mushroom season growing is in October, nothing to do with Higgs? FFS we would be playing on the downs now if WAQ didn't put that buffoon out to pasture. Higgs was way out there as the worst chairman this club has ever had, no one comes close. The plan to build a shell of a UWE compiled out of utter desperation from Higgs to just deliver something was not acceptable and it was months after the board took over that more bad news was being discovered hidden away by Tony the Till. How do you work out that a shell of a stadium, owned I may add by the UWE would have been in the best interest of BRFC? Because that was the deal on the table faced by the AQ's, who understandably to any sensible business minded person rejected the deal out of hand and attempted to a) own the rights to the stadium and b) make a decent fist of it generating income back to the club and NOT the UWE. You appear to have totally rewritten history to favour Higgs and smear the current owners who have shown more professionalism and progress in a couple of seasons than Higgs ever did. Let's just pretend that Higgs didn't raise the barriers and ignore everyone, or he didn't ban decent people from the stadium for speaking the truth. Lets pretend he actually had a well thought out plan, and plan b and c, lets pretend he didn't tell fans the club had a water tight agreement with Sainsburys and the plan was solid. And let's forget he added nothing but misery and failure to the history books of BRFC and we deservedly went bombing out of the FL for the first time in over 100 years, and then perhaps your account on what happened in your eyes becomes slightly plausible, I would rather stick to facts though.

Rovers chairman Steve Hamer tells @bbcbristolsport the club have “one or two” players lined up to replace Ellis Harrison. “We will have a replacement for Ellis I think by the time we play Peterborough”
When asked if he would be on the lookout for a replacement for Harrison, Clarke said he would, but needs to clarify what money he has to spend first.
He explained: "I'll get clarity, I know there's been meetings happening the early part of this week and obviously me and Tommy Widdrington have got a good list of players behind is, but we need to know what we've got to spend so we can bring the players in."
No wonder SH gets so much stick from Rovers fans as how can he say yesterday the club have one or two players lined up but today DC say he doesn't even have a clue how much money he's got to spend on a replacement, or replacements? Once again SH has said what he thinks fan want to hear not the actual facts.

Doesn't all this just mean that we all want 'big news'?
I would imagine Hamer as much as Darrell and us fans would all love to hear something actually worth making a statement about, but if the news ain't there, then there's no statement to make, unless, of course you feel obliged to make really obvious ones because people demand news?

This is what Higgs did every month , personally although I couldn’t stand Higgs I quite liked the fact that he did his monthly statement. Somewhere in between would be nice. Wael started well with loads of interviews saying all the right things but he’s been so quiet since I think that’s what’s bothering me. How can someone be so active in the media for a year followed by a year of almost completely nothing. That does worry me. On one hand i really like the bloke he seems very genuine and I still honestly believe that he meant everything he said when he bought the club but on the other hand the silence now makes me think that he’s now realised that the things he wants to do for our club he can’t but he’s stuck because if he comes out and says that then he not only embarrasses himself but more importantly I think for him it would mean an awkward situation in his family / family business. I believe he genuinely has fallen for our club but he’s not going to turn round and say” I can’t do what I wanted to do my hands are tied because I don’t have final say “ because that will cause anger from our support towards Waels old man and brother then there’s the risk they might pull the plug altogether. I’d imagine Wael has had many sleepless nights over the last 2 and a half years. Only my take on it I’m not in the know as you call it in here but that’s my opinion. Also going back to Hamer I think he’s in a very similar situation as Wael in that respect. Don’t like listening to the bloke and haven’t taken to him but I think he was keen and excited on the plans Wael had but like all of us is still waiting for the training ground and stadium to really get rolling.

Absolutely spot on. This is the main reason that I took a self imposed 10 week break from here - so I could detox. I'm back on line now and nothing has f**king changed. Nice to see you back my old scrotum licking friend !

Rovers chairman S teve Hamer tells @bbcbristolsport the club have “one or two” players lined up to replace Ellis Harrison. “We will have a replacement for Ellis I think by the time we play Peterborough” When asked if he would be on the lookout for a replacement for Harrison, Clarke said he would, but needs to clarify what money he has to spend first. He explained: "I'll get clarity, I know there's been meetings happening the early part of this week and obviously me and Tommy Widdrington have got a good list of players behind is, but we need to know what we've got to spend so we can bring the players in." No wonder SH gets so much stick from Rovers fans as how can he say yesterday the club have one or two players lined up but today DC say he doesn't even have a clue how much money he's got to spend on a replacement, or replacements? Once again SH has said what he thinks fan want to hear not the actual facts. DC doesn't know his budget. That doesn't mean he hasn't identified a decent player and a free one. Therefore, Hamers statement and DCs assertion still both hold true.

There are plenty of reasons DC stays and the lack of opportunity elsewhere is not one of them. There are plenty of jobs he could have applied for with 2 promotions under his belt. He stays because he wants to stay and build for the future, if he wasn't happy he would have gone a long time ago.
