I think Jayden Stockley is the sort of striker we should be looking at - maybe we are!! A £500k bid for him could well tempt Exeter before the bigger boys in the Championship make their move for him. He's got a 750k release clause in his contract I have been told.

It sounds like we're glad to get rid of him, perhaps Darrell thought he'd cash in before the reverted to last season's early form!

Apparently we have made an enquiry about James Norwood who is at Tranmere.
Wasn’t this the same player who turned us down to go to FGR in the conference years?

F.Y.I. Mr Clarke, we don't need a list Ready to go. We need a list Ready to come in. Enough players have Gone.

Wait is Broadbent actually being tried up front? dont know but I would like to see it strong good on ball good header of ball why not? Because he's a defender not a striker. I know occasionally that converting players into different positions has worked quite well, Keith Curle started off as a winger and Carl Saunders was a right back at Stoke, but now is not really the time to be experimenting. We need two proper strikers.

If I were a decent striker, and BRFC tried to sign me, I'd jump at the chance. We have made some really exciting signings so far in this transfer window, and are going to create loads of chances for our forwards. Can't help but think that when strikers are considering their next move that they base it on how many chances will be created for them. I think the only logic applied is how much I'm going to get paid and will I get game time. Though the second criteria is rather ignored once you get championship or premiership £s It depends entirely what your motivation is for playing in the first place. Money is obviously a big motivator, and as you say, game time is important, but I would say that if any striker doesn't see their potential goal tally as a motivator, then they're in the wrong profession.

A lot of teams are looking for a striker at the moment as well. Sunderland and Portsmouth both made bids for Eilsa, so are probably still looking. Peterborough just sold Maddision as well.
We need to act quickly to get our targets, or they might end up elsewhere.

We need two proper strikers. Gareth Taylor. He made his debut as a Centre Back when we got gubbed 6-1 at Cambridge. Within 2 and a half years we were getting £1.2M for him after John Ward converted him into a striker. It does work quite often. But agree we need ready made strikers.

I hope this is just rumor...he's another shortie at 5 foot 7 inches and I really do feel we need someone who has a bit of height and physical presence. If we did not have Nichols and Reilly then it possibly might make some sense.
