Both sites have pros and cons, for me Filton is the better site, only problems being it isn't actually in Bristol and there's no solid plans in place. That area will be redeveloped either way so it's win/win for locals. Temple Meads could be a really nice site in the heart of Bristol, if not it'll be more luxury, overpriced flats that us regular Bristolians could only dream of being able to afford. The Brabazon Hanger is actually inside the Bristol boundary whereas the majority of the rest of the development site is in South Glos. Access roads will also be required from South Glos.

I think it’ll be pretty decent if it’s at Filton, the Brab Hanger is huge, it’ll be like our version of the O2 and hopefully that’ll mean a multifunctional arena. One thing this area has been crying out for is a decent arena to attract things like boxing/UFC etc, I think there is a massive pool of talent being wasted in the West Country because there isn’t anywhere to hold such events. It’s not just about getting Adele and Michael McIntyre here. I think the transport argument is null and void, as apparently the funding will go towards the infrastructure, the roads down to the M32 are better at Filton than in Town, with the added route of going up by the Mall and getting on the M5. The Mall is also going to be expanded let’s not forget. I know Bristol would benefit an arena, and honestly there’s no reason both couldn’t be done, Birmingham has more than one place, as does London and other cities. Like others have said, I wouldn’t mind betting we’ve had talks with YTL about land, I know housing associations have already had talks with YTL so no doubt other CEO’s have. You say the roads are better from the M32, having spent the last 15 years experiencing the traffic mayhem one incident can have in the area. I will poo-poo you on that one; From the M5 can also be a complete mare

Railway line running through it, new station to be built. Loads of brown field site available, road infrastructure in place. Perfect location for both, got to be the smart money bet.

"From the prize money we've gained in both the FA Cup and the Checkatrade Trophy, we've been able to buy a piece of land and build a training ground on it." So it doesn't sound like a training ground costs that much to build, as I doubt Lincoln earned £m's from just two cup runs? The mystery why we're seemingly making excuses not to build it deepens. They earnt atound £1.2M by playing Arsenal at their place (45% of a full stadium) plus £760,00 in prize money to get that far Add on to that the £247,000 TV money and you are well over £2.2M easily Lincoln were also televised against Oldham and the Ipswich replay for £144k, minimum £2.34M but they also earn't 45% 0f the Burnley and Ipswich gates too Then you get the Checktrade money including a Wembley final.....goint to be closer to £3M I forgot the fact they got to the quarter finals, I assumed it was just the one or two televised games although they still only made £1.3m profit last year. www.redimps.co.uk/news/2018/february/180213-accounts/

With my Euro millions I'm going to rebuild Eastville. Lambert will be playing upfront, Lampard in the mids, Aiden Flint centre half. The players will come down the tunnel on speedway bikes. During the game I will have greyhounds chasing a giant stuffed Robin around the track. I will be watching the game from a revamped Grotto in the middle of the flower beds. There will be fireworks after the game. At Half time the Blue flames will fire sausage rolls into the crowd from a cannon. If there's any money left i will fix the PA system.
