No you aren't. No woman should have to put up with that at a football match or anywhere else for that matter. So we can call blokes "C*nts" "Wankers" "Pricks" and chant songs to opposing players, managers, supporters as long as they're Male? But Woman shouldn't have to put up with it? C'mon, its ridiculous. It was a harmless chant at a Football Match. I saw the video on Facebook and it saddened me to be honest. This is 2018. The difference here is that one person was singled out. When opposing fans sing your Welsh and you know you are, there are lots of shoulders for that to be supported on. Here there was one woman's shoulders and I think that's not really on. This is bullying, not bance.

If the recipient of the abuse feels harassed, alarmed and/or distressed then it would be considered harassment. Other people being upset and disturbed as a result of the abuse directed at another person can also used as evidence. Just saying, like. As I understand it, legally harassment needs to be repeated. And by repeated, I believe they mean in the sense of on more than one occasion, not simply repeating the verse. Not a lawyer, though, so don't take my word for it. I think that the Public Order Act would deal with this scenario. If, for example, a group of males started chanting that at a female in the street and there were Police in the vicinity, they would have the power to arrest the perpetrators. I know I am fantasising here; there's never any a police on the street, and if there are, they're busy pointing speed radars at passing traffic. I am a fairly traditional working class male, and I don't see why any female should be subjected to such boorish behaviour, in a football stadium or anywhere else. Henbury on the other hand should be considered fair game whatever the circumstances.

Funny how people can be selective in the banter they find acceptable.
Women are fair game.
Black people are out of bounds.
A policeman getting abuse is ripe for picking.
A soldier getting abuse would probably have the perpetrator beaten up.

Yes, you are and we justify that to ourselves that the player/manager/referee Can handle it as maybe it's 'water off a ducks back' to them. You may be onto something though, in the modern day is there any place for that behaviour? I have to admit, I sometimes politely question if the refs parents were married when he was born....... ;-)

I take it there is no problem in singling an opposition fan out with "you fat bast**d", "does your boyfriend know you're here" or calling the referee a w*nker...they have feelings too y'know! I think that is probably over stepping the line as you are using sexuality as a negative connotation. Which is pretty much the text book definition of homophobia. As someone has already said, in the 70's it would have been acceptable. I think we all now know that is wrong. It's not bance, it's just wrong.

I think most of us know her, she works for the club? No, she's just a fan who attends most games, home and away.

Either way, she didn't deserve that treatment and I don't think she has been seeking retribution. From what I have seen on Facebook, she hasn't ranted and raved about it. It looks like the press has picked the story up from social media.

It seems a most odd chant to be directing at anyone, in my opinion. I`ve got nothing against Chlamydia. I prefer Lobelia, but I have no problem with anybody who doesn`t.

Get them all in a room 121 with her I say and ask them to say to her face what they did at the match. I should think their bravado would shrink pretty fast.

Would people think it's ok for their daughter, sister, wife, mother or granny to be abused like this? Would you think ok for your son, brother, husband, father or grandad to be abused?
