Everyone wants everything now, Wael has never once said we would be splashing the cash and that it was evolution. That it is, the Mem has never been in better shape, the revenue made on match days is the best it’s been. We have more coaches than ever before. Bigger playing budget than ever before. A development side which we didn’t have before. Take off your rose tinted glasses, we are rag bag Bristol rovers and will be for the foreseeable future.

At QPR Ollie was charged with keeping them in championship with no money, bring on young players, and survive ! that was his brief and he achieved the objective, so by no means was he a failure there, i am not pushing for his return but sounds like a similar brief to DC ! just wish DC would try some one from development squad up front or out wide as all we seem to do is rotate same 4/5 players across middle who produce nothing! i understand Baghdadi is injured else he would be my pick' any one else got any suggestions?

Playing development squad players at this point in the Season is one hell of a risk. Not only could it cost us points but could destroy confidence in the young 'uns. I know what you mean though.

Fulham played a 15 yr old last week but we can't risk somebody like Deon Moore who's played for Posh in the past? When do we play them as post January we're normally in a play off or relegation fight?

I'm sure we'd all like to see young, local players in the first team but they have to be ready.
It's all too easy to say we should chuck someone in, but in most cases our knowledge is minimal at best, whereas DC sees the players train and play, and/or gets reports from his staff about their performances and progress.
We have got Lockyer, Clarke, Kelly and Russe already!

We play Nicholls so what's the difference

Holloway as I said a number of times Ok, but why? I will always respect Ollie for what he did for the club as both a player and a manager. Personally, I feel his best management days are behind him now though and would back that up by referencing his last two jobs. Can you put a case forward to support why you think he is the man for job? Why imho he has championship and prem experience , and also experience with a number of clubs so he can look at areas from different prospectives. we need to change ideas and tactics and formation and need someone to motivate the team

Would of thought being a super manager he could have his pick of jobs?

Can you explain how anybody can just walk away from a lengthy contract, he could ask Wael to tear up his contract but if he refuses how can he just walk away w/o risking being sued for breach of contract? Don’t bother Topper. This is Midlands world, you know like Wayne’s world. Any excuse!!

Ollie does not hate the gas, that's just nonsense.
Midland - like I said, Ollie is and always will be a legend for me. But when did he last manage in League 1? Having premier league and championship experience isn't much good to us when we don't play there and have no prospect of being able to sustainably do so for the time being due to the complete lack of infrastructure (and that's a whole new thread!).
If DC left or, God forbid, was sacked, surely we'd be looking for a young manager with some experience in League 1 or one that had shown himself ready to progress from a lower league? I have no idea who that man might be, but then I'm more than happy with the manager we have already.

Our problem at the moment us that we have a young manager inexperienced at this level , so why would we want to replace him with another young manager , what we need is an experienced manager not someone who is still learning his trade at our expense can I ask which part of DC you are happy with at the moment, because in my eyes he is not doing a very good job for us this season or in fact from the last third of last season as well

He's part-way through his third season in League 1. Over 100 games. Whatever he might or might not be doing wrong, and whatever the reasons are, you can't put it down to inexperience.

He's treading water waiting for a call from us Well he was putting our board down on live television 2 weeks ago so he might have a long wait when you get your wish and DC leaves which he obviously will one day.
