Figures from 2017 unless stated otherwise That's not right.
1. BRFC expenditure on wages in 2017 was £5m. they are mixing that up with total expenditure (£7.8m)
2. Are the figures they state total expenditure, total wages for the business, or just player wages?

Sure he hasn’t confused the BRFCs? 8.2mn seems ludicrous for us and implies our non playing budget is c.3m?

I don't know whare they are getting £4.8m from either. Football receipts was £4m, total receipts was £6.2m, and I can't see where we have listed TV money in the 2017 accounts.

Perhaps somebody could tweet the author and ask him where he got the figures from given that our total playing & non playing declared "wages" were only £5m then the £8m figure is clearly wrong and was probably less than £4m for players wages alone.

Someone did tweet him and said the figures did not match the Rovers accounts and he said he would double check. That was a few hours ago.

The price of football also has a section about walsall where it puts rovers average wage at £4k per week just behind millwall who still had players from their championship team on the wage bill! On footballers v fans website rovers playing wage average is listed at about 16th with £1,500 quoted as the average weekly wage which seems more realistic. Its a shame because price of football is an interesting site, for example the walsall section seems well researched and appears accurate.

If we paid £1,500 on average then for a 1st team squad of 24 players that amounts to £1.87m but we seem to be paying at least double that, £3.75m, if our overall club wage bill was £5m? Our average could well be £3,000 with some players on £4,000?
