Mark Warburton for me. He worked minor miracles at Brentford with a small budget. I think Tony Craig was with him at that time.

Could Paul Hurst work miracles with Payne & Rodman again? To be fair, he dropped Payne for most of the second half of last season.

Coughlan in temporary charge.... Doesn't seem to have a huge amount of managerial experience. Although when you look at the other remaining coaching staff, who has??

Mike Flynn, Michael Appleton, Graham Alexander or Graeme Jones for me. I'd probably offer it to Appleton. I did a Wikipedia on Appleton just before you posted that. Jeez he didn't last that long in most of his managerial positions although in most cases it wasn't clear if he left or he was pushed. I remember him being feted at Oxford for a while though. Did a good job at Oxford and signed players like Kemar Roofe (bought for about 100k, sold for £3mil) and Marvin Johnson (signed for 600k, sold for £2.5mil). Achieved automatic promotion to League One and reached the final of the Football League Trophy twice.

Who ever the next manager is they need to be substantially backed in January.

What sort of job? Seeing Graham Westley on the list made me shudder. If we appoint him my rage levels at the owners will go through the roof! Highly regarded by Mr Giggs and if you listen to him on sky sports football programmes, he talks a lot on sense. Sadly Henbury he wouldn’t be interested in us. We haven’t even got our own training ground ffs

Shrewsbury Town fan in peace giving you friendly advice NOT to consider Paul Hurst. There is a story which I wont go into as to the circumstances he left us for Ipswich and was not considered for a return to us when John Askey was sacked last month. He is a snake who will if given the chance use your club as a stepping stone and show you no loyalty whatsoever.

Sad thing is whoever we end up with will most likely be a journeyman (or yes man). All well and good mentioning names like Warburton but look at the clubs he’s been at...
Why the f**k would any manager worth their salt come to us. We literally are going to end up like DC said in his last few interviews, a yo-yo club between leagues 2 and 1.
Why would any decent manager want to restrict themselves to that? Especially given our infrastructure, even clubs like Fleetwood (much in the same boat as us level wise, as painful as that is) have a much nicer stadium and training ground.
Clubs like Mansfield are building, Swindon, the list is endless.
We are in real trouble unless some improvements happen off the pitch never mind on it.

It'll be f**king Hasselbaink.
Wael is a Chelsea fan - he probably loves him.
We're f**ked.

Paul Hurst is the value bet at 11/1. Don’t waste your money, he’s DCs best mate, and they obviously talk.

We haven’t even got our own training ground ffs I've hear good things about Bellamy at youth team levels (which is surprising as he was known for putting the fear of God into the young Welsh players when Toshack cleared out most of the old guard). So he has obviously calmed down a lot and seems to have a lot of nous. We could definitely do a lot worse if we were to go for the young and hungry manager route... Hurst and Alexander stand out as having done a decent job at this level. I actually wouldn't be opposed to Cotterill seeing how he turned City around, but if he can't get a tune out of this mob ASAP (which he won't and not due to his management ability- the players are just crap) it will all probably turn very nasty indeed.
