Hopefully some Development Squad kids in. Russe and Kelly come to mind immediately, but Russe obviously coming from the bench; the worst thing we can do is throw youngsters into the deep end like that

It will be interesting to see if Coughlin sticks to DC's players or changes things around by using Development Squad players like Russe, hopefully he'll break up the Locks/Craig partnership and also give us some width. Bonham Leads Locks Braodbent or Rollin Kelly Bennett Sercs Upson Rodman Nichols Payne (or Jakubiak Reilly) hopefully he drops Lockyer and Craig indefinitely (or failing that.. put them up front one of them is our top scorer.. neither of them are defenders though) and locks certainly isn't a captain.

Bonham Partington. J CLark. Broadbent. Kelly. Matthews. Sercombe. Upson. Rodman. Reilly. Jakubiak. Injuries allowing having seen the last few times partington played... he can stay well away from the teemsheet too and get wayyy gone in January.

I will counter that and ask the same to you I responded to Topper's claim. You decided to dip your oar. Neither of you can say how someone who has scored 13 goals in League One over 5 seasons can be called a proven League One goal scorer.

I never said he was, but who would you play who has more experience in this division out of our 3 strikers to replace him ? I would suggest he has more chance of scoring than any of the other strikers we currently have on our books, but i will be happy for you to recommend one so we can analyse your choice

"Nicholls is not a " proven" goalscorer at this level. That's bollox. What is proven is his how ineffective he's been over two seasons." So you want to replace him by unproven strikers at this level, i ask again who would you replace him with so we can analyse your choice ?

I do think though, given the opportunity to get on and be a full back without DC's bewildering tactics he'll be fine a 4-4-2 that is a possibility.. he (like a number of others against donny) looked completely shot though... beginning to think I'd rather just have leadbitter ... he can't cross.. leaves far too much space for his man... but he's fast.

2011–2016 Exeter City 97 (34 Goals) 2016–2017 Peterborough United 50 (11 Goals) 45 EFL goals suggest he's more "proven" than AJ & Reilly with a handful if EFL goals between them, regardless I'm not picking the team tomorrow so it'll be interesting to what the new boss does, stick with DC's front two or go for inexperience. As far as being ineffective is that down to him personally, or the way DC set the team up to actually create v. little in the box. Did James, Nichols, Payne & even Reilly all just lose the ability to score because they signed for us or for other reasons. Yet more Toppernomics. Exeter City were in League Two from 12/13 onwards. Tom Nicholls scored 1 League One goal for Exeter. He scored 11 in League One for Peterborough over two seasons. 13 League One goals in nearly five seasons: please explain how that makes him a proven goalscorer at this level? And no Reilly didn't lose the ability to score. He got two for the reserves last week and scored a beaut against Coventry. He has been on the bench where it is impossible to score. Telford scored for fun in the DS team last season, how many has he got in Div 2 since August? 0? As I suggested it'll be interesting to see that the new boss does tomorrow, as you'd hope he knows more than us two about who's liable to actually score a goal.

"All these different suggested line -ups - don't any of you think that the 11 chosen (whoever) you choose is so weak ?" We will know the answer to that at 5 pm tomorrow, in the meantime we have to live in hope that Coughlin can get an extra 10% or so out of them before January, CH wise Broadbent or Rollin seem commanding enough, they managed a clean sheet until injury time at Scunthorpe last season just DC wouldn't give them game time. Fair play Topper, but were not just talking about Sunderland but what we can get/achieve across 46 games. This team have got 17 pts from 21 games !! We have 2 wins, 2 draws and 7 defeats from our home games - that's 8 pts out of 33 ! And that's all we deserved from them and the football by and large has been dreadful. We start games and you see the opposition doing what they want with us - we're just hanging in there. I'm afraid Topper, we might get some reaction tomorrow and when the new manager is appointed, but then things settle down to normal - these players haven't got it ( a relegation scrap at best I feel with 5 or 6 clubs being sucked into it being our best hope) - we need 3 new players minimum and prey Sercombe stays too if we want to pull away from the mire we're in ! Not sure the 3 players we will get in will look any better on paper than Rodman, Payne & Upson did unless the ALQ's find some spare cash, personally I'll take a relegation battle with 5 other clubs rather than just going down w/o a fight as we seem to be under DC.
