Interesting that Robbie said his Assistant would be Tony Grant (current Everton Scout).
Between them they'll have more than a few contacts in the game.
Should Wael throw the dice?

Really don't see what credentials Robbie Fowler has to be considered as our next boss.
He'd raise the club's profile for sure, but so what. What does he know about lower league football and lower league footballers? What experience does he have of a relegation dog fight? Why so long out of the English game?
Quality striker but too much of a gamble for me.

He at least seems to have some sort of plan in his mind, given he knows wh os no.2 would be. Yeah he doesnt have experience of a relegation fight, but what we want is the players to respond to someone. A lot depends on what the intentions for the club are (whomever) the owners, but i think we should be prepared to go down with the right manager, then fire fight and stumnle through the next set of managers before one falls in our lap

Whats your football reasons for that view? It doesn't have to be a football reason. He has clearly polarised the fan base which could result in some not attending matches. His unpopularity could also mean that he somes fans woukd be on his back as soon results didn't go out way which does have an impact on the team. And it would appear he's a massive bell end

Yes, the short term aim is to stay up but we need to appoint someone we can have faith in even if we do go down. A repeat of the situation you describe (which happened on the last two occasions we were relegated from League 1) must be avoided. Whether that man is Fowler, I'm not sure. To be fair though, I don't know who it should be either. Gut feel at this stage is with Flynn or Gary Bowyer but who knows what names might be interested.

Nobody would turn on him during our relegation would they?

Would be a great strikers coach if nothing else. One of the most intelligent footballers I’ve ever seen in the 1/4s.

I do get your point but some people would just upset the fans too much ~ sooner have Lambert as a striker

Really can't see it being Fowler. The wage demand must be huge!

I honestly don't think money matters to players like him.
Just have to look at Sol Campbell who took over as manager at Macclesfield, doubt he needs the money, but needs the experience.
