Well, I rather liked the story - and Hamer doesn't look like the sort of block who normally takes the stairs!

Somebody walks into a lobby containing stairs and lifts (i assume) and chooses to take the stairs. Guess it depends on who you are, who that somebody was, and why rather than talk to you, they went another route. That's an assumption by the OP, but only Hamer knows why he took the stairs.

Ah you got me. I don't have clients. Sounded good though. Hell I don't even have a job. Or do I? Read into that what you will. Are you saying you're James Bond? Are you saying you're Steve Hamer?

You know I think perhaps he might have been a bit stiff. Sitting down in the ground, sitting in the board room, and he thought I'm taking the stairs. Look at that lazy git waiting for the lift

Back from the trip up north. The supporters and staff at Sunderland were top quality they were very welcoming and could not do enough for us Gasheads. We played the best football I have seen this season, especially in the first half. I had the hospitality, it was very good although a bit overpriced. After the game had finished, I went to the lift as I was on the third floor. The lift was outside the Boardroom. Whilst waiting for the lift, our Chairman walk out with two other people. He took one look at me waiting for the lift and said to the other two " I am not going down in the lift but walking down the stairs". The lift arrived, his friends said "Steve the lift is here" but he said "no, I will walk down the stairs". A wry smile came to my face as I entered the lift with the two other people. I said to them politely "Steve does not want to talk with me". They must have wondered what the heck was going on. It must have been an interesting discussion when they all met up in the foyer. Now if Steve Hamer has a problem with me, he is not happy with my pursue of Ken Masters after the text messages I received, that's fine but I hope he does not treat other customers of BRFC the same way. Still, I had a great weekend and it was good to meet up with some Gasheads in the adjoining hotel before and after the game. PS - I hope Maddog enjoyed the game. At least your a troll offline too. I find this post weak- it’s another wind up. I’d say close to bullying.

I’m assuming you think Hamer would know who you are from stalking the corridors of power. How about he just glanced in the direction of the lift and never even noticed you standing nearby and decided after a full belly from the generous hospitality afforded chairman he would do himself a favour and walk down the stairs. Your importance knows no bounds sadly

There’s been some very stiff competition over the years, but I’d say this is possibly the most...
1) Bizarre 2) Pointless 3) Self-indulgent

Look the original poster could be the savour.
Him and the chairman clearly have a disagreement. To which I have no loyalty to either. And I hold no suspicion that one is more correct than the other.
But in my opinion bragging about making another person uncomfortable is plainly cruel.
People vouch this poster is a lovely fella- so I trust it’s unintentional.
