Ollie would certainly get the crowd fired up.
Get him in Wael. It is best for business.

How do you know it was? There's only so much a non quitter can handle before he says "that's enough", like being let down on training ground, new Stadium, budget to replace £1m players sold and released, and everything else Al Qadi promised him. He’s gone he didn’t want two relagations on his CV so by mutual agreement he left,he wasn’t promised anything and didn’t complain during the two promotions he and others achieved, its easy too blame training grounds etc but his preseason dealings caught up with him and his tinkering so time for change but a sad day but the right decision I’m afraid. He wasn't promised anything?

Having looked at the options available I can't see anyone with a better record of recruitment than Holloway. With his links to Gary Penrice in his current role I think he would make good use of the transfer window. I think fans views are clouded by his history with us which I realise we can't ignore. Any other Third Division threatened side would think that Holloway was probably out of reach for them. If he was interested I can't see a better candidate on offer at the moment. That's interesting to know, could you share the recruitment records of the candidates please? Of course 1. Holloway.... V. Good 2. Cotterell.... Good 3. Flynn........ Above average 4. Garner and Fowler.. N/A Hopes that helps

Could do a lot worse than bringing Ollie in to the end of the season, with a contract heavily weighted towards survival bonus, to work alongside the current staff.
I've got £20 on Coughlan at 18/1 though, partly as he'd be the cheapest option, partly in the hope we pick up some good results bloody sharpish.

Wonder if he said we needed someone with experience, when he took over as player manager, all those years ago lol. I know things can change, but it's funny him saying the club need experience, when he managed us without any experience at all. yeh it’s called EXPERIENCE?

Ollie would be my choice. Despite what the ‘offended by everything ‘ brigade might say, how can anyone deny he is a gashead at heart. Yes he might well have said cut me in half and I bleed green; because he was Plymouth manager I would expect him to be that passionate. Yes he might have picked QPR to beat us in the cup, but he gave his reasons for that at the time, which were valid, not to mention being massively put on the spot.
I would have him back straight away, people saying he’s passed it is rubbish, we’re not talking cutting edge premiership football, league one is about solid teams that do it simple but effective.
First time round it was his first job and we were dam near promoted before it fell apart.
I would back him to keep us up and then do well next year too.
Think he’s probably burnt his bridges from his last article or two though.

Ian Holloway, Penrice, Yatsey for me, all three Gas Legends, ffs what we would give to have Yatesy CB, Ollie running the midfield, creating goals and delivery ******* good corner kicks, and with penny up front, with Randall, the best player I have seen at Rovers who made sending the keeper the wrong way and slotting the ball in the net, look so ******** simple.
