I'm not sure our coffers will stretch far enough, but I think it would be worth a go. He's young and raw - ripe for further development, and knows where the net is.

Think this could be an excellent signing if we could tempt Watford and the man himself...... What's you're thoughts Gasheads? I think he would be a great signing but unfortunately I can’t see Watford letting him go but you never know! The more goals he scores for us the further he will be out of our reach. Thank you, that's the kind of intelligent response I wanted. Cheers Marshy

Definitely worth a cheeky bid, whether personal terms may be more of a sticking point, though.
If resources are scarce, would Bonham be a higher priority?

He's had one good game, let's wait and see how he plays over a period of games? Yeah let's wait untilhe scores more and more and we've got completely no chance to sign him then. Great idea...

I agree with the OP.
Jak is the best striker we have at the club, and as said above he should only improve with experience and match fitness.
Not only based on Oxford performance I would’ve held the same opinion before, his all round hold up play, passing and runs when he’s had the chance to actually play has been far better than Payne, Reilly and Nichols. Not sure why DC didn’t play him more, exactly like Telford last season.
I think he’s out of contract in the summer, but I would like to see us try and nail down something permanent in January if we could a. afford him b. he wanted to move
Type of signing Peterborough make and then sell on for millions, sadly can’t see us doing it.

With regards to the personal terms, I know Watford are a Prem side but Jak isn’t a first team member so wages, etc, might be a lot lower and therefore more attainable than we think.

I would rather sign Jakubiak as more likely to get a lot of money for him. Keepers at this level will rarely go for a great deal of money even if they are doing well. Strikers however...

Its not after one good game though is it? He's played well in every game since DC's gone and couldn't judge him before as he didn't get a chance. He's strong, quick, has an eye for goal. What's not to like?

If he's this good all of a sudden, where were these posts prior to yesterdays game? 2 goals Vs Oxford, and all of a sudden he's our saviour....

I predicted him to score in the match thread for a start. You don't rate him then?

*WOW* Lets sign him them, as you did predict him to score... You haven't got anything like that wrong before, have you..?
Not from what I've seen of him, no. I didn't go yesterday, so can't judge him on one game, like some have done. I'll judge him over a number of games, not just one.

So because you didn't see him, well keep waiting and waiting until you see him. By which time he may have scored a few more goals and end up being worth a ridicilous amount of money? We've got to take a gamble at some point and from what I've seen of him, I think he's worth a punt now whilst we have possibly a slight chance of getting him. Because you can guarantee we'll have no chance if he keeps yesterday up.

Heard it from someone at the game yesterday, shame he isn’t, if he scores 10more between now and the end of the season he’ll be off to a champ club and we’ll have no chance

I have seen him play, (he has played more than once for us you know?) hence why I wouldn't sign him yet. I just don't judge a player after one game.

This is something I mentioned on here last night about contradicting info. If you go on traansfermarket site etc on Google it says this summer but that article clearly makes it sound like summer of 2020.
