Matt Jarvis joins Walsall. Interesting signing on paper for a club their size at this level. They have just lost Josh Ginnely though so swings and roundabouts for them. I’d like to see us sign decent left winger in January, even if it means getting Bennett off the wage bill.

Understand we don’t have a pot to water in but some of you need to make your mind up. One minute we don’t have enough money to sack Clarke, then he’s sacked (mutual agreement on a 5 year deal won’t be cheap). He blames budget, then some of you say it’s the biggest budget we’ve had in years. One minute it’s get Wael out he’s got no money, the next minute it’s back them to the hilt.
Stockley’s clause was 750k, thought it could’ve been nearer the snakes 300k which is chump change in modern football, as you can see by even MK Dons matching Preston’s bid.
Judging by today’s performance if we don’t have investment in the squad we’re still in real trouble. Also still without a manager which again is more £. Owners can gift clubs money and ours is certainly going to have to find some from somewhere

The teds seem to like strikers who run around a lot and don't score, while at the same time calling their strikers who do score "sh**" and "holding them back". Worth quashing the 'gentleman's agreement' and letting them buy Nichols for £2mill? Mo Eisa on loan anybody?

No point in getting excited over potential incomings until you see that we’ve shipped some out as dc maxed the budget

Must get rid of Nichols and a few others and bring in a decent left-footed winger and a decent striker

I saw them recently and thought Josh Koroma looked a better prospect than Bonne.
Koroma Wiki
Also thought both their CB's looked better than ours, but admittedly they were only playing Gateshead.

Sounds like Coughlan is already working on a couple of targets? If I get the job then I have got a long list, I know the division inside out, I have been in the division for the last 10 years so know the players, the opposition and the quality of the division and which players are available, I know all about it. Pressed on whether he is currently in a position to make transfers, Coughlan said: "Like I say there is one or two players out there I would bring in tomorrow to help out the football club and the CEO and the owners have backed me with everything I have done so far, they put their hand in their pocket for a Nandos the other day. "Now I am sure a player coming in might be a little more expensive but they have backed me and they have been very transparent and it has been good working with them. "But there are players out there I would like to bring to the football club sooner rather than later and I will work away on those players." www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/graham-coughlan-discusses-january-transfer-2380941

Must be a direct replacement for Lockyer for when he is sold to a top German club joining up with his welsh buddy in Madrid I heard,32m They are best mates and he talks about him all the time BTW GC made a cracking joke about Locks during the game yesterday.... After Locks lumped it forward for the 8th time and missed the player, some bloke in the crowd shouted about this and CG turned around and said something along the lines of him being a Welsh defender, what did you expect....
