There is no mention of the semi final losers Round 3 £40k Q.F £50k Losers £50k Winners £100k Any news on Semi final prize money ?? It's £50k, same as the QF. Reaching the Final will bank you a guaranteed £250k overall prize money for the competition, winning it will get you £300k.

Losers haven't got anything in any round, the semi's are really winners take all, I assume winning will give us a minimum of £250K from gates receipts if we play Pompey or Sunderland in the final, assuming the former's fans don't decide to boycott the final.

I hope we get Portsmouth away in the SF and narrowly lose by a single goal. I hope Bury get a home draw against Sunderland and win. A Pompey v Bury final sounds cack, Pompey have quite a few that wouldn't attend, we won't have to have arguements on here, they don't get the Sunderland v Portsmouth final they want and hopefully the tournament is highlighted for the disgrace it is.

Equally, say we win the SF and get through against Sunderland. Still Not the final they want, we get a load of gate receipts and actually use the money to further our club. Controversial I know, but I think now that there are no more under-23 teams left in it we should look at this more pragmatically. We need the money. If we got to the final would we give up that sort of potential payday? Could be v useful in extending contracts for good players and bringing in new ones in the summer.

Think the semi finals are on TV some of the time, so could bring in some extra money if it is on Sky.

Hope we get Bury and win the final. I will be there. Fecking massive water up in the ole smoke. Bring it on! Boycotting won’t effect what will or won’t be. Smaller teams in football get limited special memories. As in life, gotta enjoy them when you can.

Blimey, we will get a mention on Talk Sport (apologies to Bob Mills, a genuine lower league fan). Bury at home please.

One of my everlasting football memories was signing up for the T.A. in Putney and upon leaving grabbed a pint in a pub near Putney Station. It was full of Rovers fans who were playing Fulham in a cup. The volume of fans was impressive even for a Chelsea fan. The Rovers fans were so friendly and vocal. I didn’t even know where Bristol was. I knew Bristol made good music. I checked the news later and Rovers won. Was happy for those fans. Years later I ended up living in Bristol and became a season ticket holder and now love the Gas more than my childhood team. It’s important if Rovers make the final fans travel in numbers and make Rovers fans of the future coz you never know the impression you can make. Altenatively, travelled to watch my mates team Brighton play Bristol City in 1987 and remember the sh** fans being absolute lady gardens. UTG

If people don't make a stand it won't be long before B teams are entered into the football league. Had this debate many times before. Boycotting this tournament won't have any impact on whether they join the league. They have tried before and the vote was not even close. It would have to be voted in and most clubs understand how our league system works. This was a rubbish trophy to start with, so it's completely different. It brings in extra money now and gives teams a few more games. They probally will try to bring B teams into the league again. The only way clubs would vote yes, would be if they got a big pay off. At the end of the day money talks, so if they paid to get them in the league, that might vote yes. But again, the boycott won't effect the vote lol. Fans boycotted the first season, when it was a trial. They re-voted and it was voted in again, as they agreed to increase the prize money. If we get to the final, boycotting that game will have no bearing on them ever joining the league. The main worry is it is on mother's Day. If I went to the game, my wife and mum would be well watered off! So I might have to boycott for that reason. Or just put up with them in a mood, for a few months lol

Can’t be arsed to leave the house in numbers to fight anything so nothing changes and laws happen unchallenged. If Prem want B teams and prepared to pay, it will happened. Everyone cries on Twitter. Easy victories for the establishment!

Easy victories for the establishment! My point exactly, so the boycott won't have any effect. Like it didn't when they voted after the first season. League said they are not thinking about letting them in at the moment anyway. They said they still want an extra division, but want national League teams, to fill the spaces.
