Right decision was made, nothing new learned from listening to this, moving on... Agree, right decision at time, great listen though reminiscing about the good times for which DC will be remembered over his final year

Stuck in Sapporo airport for 4 hours so just listened to this interview. Great interview, very knowledgable interviewer, really enjoyed that. What a great guy Darrell is, came across brilliantly and some good anecdotes and interesting commentary on his time with us. Seems like he was so close to going to Leeds. Hurts a bit to hear him talking about speaking to other clubs now. Bit like when you break up with your girlfriend and then see her chatting to another bloke down the pub. Ouch! Good luck for the future DC. That is exactly how I feel. Well put!

Excellent interview ntt20pod - good to hear Darrell sounding more like his old self. Wish him nothing but the best for the future, and would love to see him back with us one day.

Isn't it pretty clear he wanted out come the end? The comments in the post match interviews said it all and it started to get to a stage where it was simply untenable. yes, but that is what titch is saying. how did it get to a point where our ambition and his, and the promises made, got to a gap so wide that he slightly lot the plot on the pitch, and the club lost the plot in many other aspects of the entire project / vision / reality. I'm sorry but I can't help but point to his comment about Rovers fans being the hardest done by fans in the league. According to DC based on our crowds we should be far better off than we are and I fully agree and wish some of our fans would cop on to this when they say that our natural level is league two. If DC can see it everyone else should too. Given he feels that way It's not surprising that DC got fed up in the end and it wore him out managing a club with a decent following but without decent facilities and no sign of that changing any time soon. As DC alludes to- we deserve a lot better than what we've presently got.

Every manager is entitled to make the odd signing that doesn't work out, there's definitely been a few over the years. DCs trouble were that all his bad signings this season were up front, which let's face it, is the main thing that's cost him.
Be interesting to see what level he comes back in at, suspect it will be league 1/2, but he clearly doesn't lack confidence.

He strikes me as the sort of person who would rather earn less at a league club than more with non league. I think he will want to choose somewhere with potential to do much better. He needs to think his next move wisely but I think he knows that. I did enjoy the interview. One question I would like to ask him though is could he see himself as a coach instead of a manager if am opportunity arose in the prem/champ for example?

My view or what it's worth is that DC is a winner and wanted to take the club forward which was great while we were tearing through the leagues, However the club has reached its limit or maybe overachieved either way the best we can wish for is surviving in this league based on our resources atm. Darrell is young ambitious manager, but maybe not the right manager to just maintain this clubs present position. Hopefully Coughlan is that man. I think from what I heard in that interview ithat DC feels he has took us as far as he could and he now needs another challenge. Good luck Darrell our time together may be over, but it will live long in our memories UTG

Brilliant listen. D.c made me fall back in love with Rovers and football. I’d have him back right now. Fearing the worse under G.c.

Exactly, if the current board had matched his ambition on our return to League 1 we’d be in/on the verge of the championship right now. Tom Nichols signing single handed blows that view completely out of the water. Really ? Name me one manager who hasn't signed a player that didn't live up to expectations ? Ferguson even signed some duds

Great listen, pretty much confirms what we all thought - we’re now a stagnant club / going backwards.
Wael would like to invest but hands tied by his family. Would be best for both parties if he sold up.
Hope DC is back in the game soon, great to hear his ambition to manage at a much higher level - felt he was slightly touting himself for the Luton job haha whoever does take over there has a dream job.

Right decision was made, nothing new learned from listening to this, moving on... There was nothing too learn from this? It was a really good, insightful listen and if ya cleaned your ears out and actually listened rather than having an agenda you might have enjoyed it too.

No need for language like that , really uncalled for I lolled to be fair I’m all for banter and differences of opinions but it just irks me that people give out abusive language like calling someone a prick on a forum , anyone can act a big hard man from behind a phone / keyboard, the question is would this type of language be used in person ? I highly doubt it.
