Anyone who says we don’t need him is deluded. He’s a proven goalscorer at this level.
Don’t think it’ll happen though.

This might have some truth in it.
He's slipped down the pecking order at Pompey and could be looking for more game time elsewhere.
He wouldn't attract Championship interest and Pompey wouldn't want to loan him to a promotion rival, so a lower half L1 team is a likely destination.
Add to that he knows Bristol well having spent 3 years playing for the other lot. He might like the area and it's not too far from Portsmouth.
I'd like to think this could happen because his goalscoring record would suggest he'd be a very useful addition.

I hope not...don’t rate him If you don't rate Pitman, who was second top scorer in League One last season with 24 goals and has 64 goals in 173 games in in total at this level, then I think you're going to be very disappointed with whoever we do bring in. Totally agree Pirate ... Strangest post for a while, Pitman is an out and out goal scorer and I will go so far as to say I think he would keep us up if he came here.

GC said about ten days ago they were close to bringing someone in who then came off the bench and scored and the deal stalled... Pitman did that in that same week. I wonder if this might have something more than Rolls Royce gossip.

Pittman hasn't scored twice all season, but he started last night v Luton so are they really going to let him leave on loan?

I'm 99% sure that player was Stoke striker Tyrese Campbell who started for them against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup and scored 2 goals. Edit: Topper and gas365 beat me to it!
