It is funny when people say they have never felt worse after 900 years of following us. Obviously after leaving Eastville and landing in divi 2 for 1st time, and the conf, they were on a very long cruise. So true. Thank goodness for a dose of common sense and reality. This moment in time doesn’t even rate in the top twenty “worst moments in Rovers History”. Blimey, if people think it does where the heck were they in the 2000s and in 2011-14? And you can add the blow up in 2000 from which it took us many years to recover, if we ever have. Add leaving Eastville, losing at home to Workington in April ‘67 when we had a chance of going up, losing to Wycombe to consign us to the bottom division for the first time, it’s a very long list. Yesterday I thought was a better and that we ended it stronger than we began the day but I guess it’s all about opinions. UTG!

2nd from bottom. A team without a forward who can score goals. A home record which is on the way to being one of our worst ever. Must be the clubs largest ever debt? A debt which is ever rising and secured against our home. Owners with what appears no sustainable plans on how there going to take the club forward. Evolution?

The sooner these owners are gone the better. There must have been better amongst the 10 or more rival bidders Wael said he was up against when he took over. One disappointment after another with these chancers. Totally out of their depth.

Wael said it in an interview. Maybe he was bullshitting. That wouldn't be a surprise with his track record.

Completely agree! I for the first time in a long time will not be buying a season ticket next season. I can't wait until the owners leave! On the other hand I'm a bath lad and bath city are really doing a lot more marketing than they have historically, plus have plans to redevelop whilst adding to the community in which I live and I must admit they are sucking me in a bit at the moment. Never in a million years thought I would ever feel like that as I'm blue through and through! Just feel so helpless and watered off with everything connected to rovers - we are just so tinpot for our crowd sizes and we are being mugged off! Actually if you look at our average attendance it’s mid table league 1 and we’ve got a mid table league 1 budget. If you feel like this now then the last 20 years must have been much worse for you. Not looked lately but last season it was top 8 and if we had a decent season then the attendance figure would only increase. Even just having a decent stadium would put 2,000+ on the average attendance.

That wouldn't be a surprise with his track record. The point was maybe NH was bullshitting about how many people were queueing up to buy Rovers to get the deal done. I find the level of 'hate' the Al-Qadis get, compared to previous owners/boards a bit baffling. They have been far from a success so far and who knows what their next move is, but i feel they get it worse becuase they arent 'one of our own'

At the risk of sounding like Paul Buckle, what are people expecting?
Crowds of 8,000 don't allow the owners to spend like a Championship club or those in the top six of L1.
For the majority and with the odd exception, the bigger clubs are the successful ones.
We aren't a big club. I'd rather see us break even and play in L2.

We have just seen two of DC's signing leave. Both bought in the last 12 months.
I'd say that he should take some of the blame for wasting the funds that we had!

Well he took the credit for his great signings and two promotions and quite rightly so it should and does work both ways. A poor window where poor signings are made even with a higher budget than ever before doesn’t make him a bad manager , any manager can have a bad window but it’s certainly left us up sh** creek and now GC has to try and paddle us out of the mess.

They don't help themselves hiding behind 'confidentiality' and suddenly not being seen when the going gets tough. Regardless of whether or not they are 'one of our own' they would have been legends and given the freedom of Bristol if they had delivered.

It's not easy to be 100% successful in the transfer market when you are buying from the bargain bucket, essentially looking for hidden gems among other people's cast offs or youngsters with potential. Even Alex Ferguson had his share of cock ups and he had unlimited funds and was able to buy tried and tested top quality.

The difference is, during those events we knew no better and our expectations had not been raised (rightly or wrongly) by the new owners, the media and to a certain extent ourselves

That's magical thinking nonsense. It doesn't stand up to the slightest scrutiny. You get a random f**king club and you like it. Full stop. Same as Man City, same a Bournemouth, same as Stockport fans. Unless you're a glory-hunting lady garden and then you switch to a more successful club.

Do you think you can judge anything by the business that was done and when it was done? or are fans questioning it and raising concerns still just pointless moaning to dismiss? Is evolution being delivered?

Evolution whilist based at a stadium which is barely fit for purpose is laughable. So if were not in the evolution process at this time What are we in?

Were there really other people who wanted the club, or was Nick Higgs just bullshitting Higgs? Wael said it in an interview. Maybe he was bullshitting. That wouldn't be a surprise with his track record. There were 8 interested parties in us, the ALQs were chosen because they were the richest, made all the right noises about building the stadium, and Micheal Cunnah had already met with the old board, was impressed at the UWE project and was part of the negotiations I believe, which is why he ended up as a director in charge of stadium build. But he was then savvy enough to realise the ALQs didn't have the desire/wish/means/finance/capablity (delete as appropriate) to actually build it.

Stronger or weaker than before? Do you think you can judge anything by the business that was done and when it was done? or are fans questioning it and raising concerns still just pointless moaning to dismiss? Is evolution being delivered? Well, istm GC is changing the feel of the squad and getting rid of the low-intensity (for want of a better description) players and going for a more direct approach. Arguably he's reversing the later changes DC made, who turned a half-decent semi-direct team with a bit of guts into a keep-ball indirect team who lacked a cutting edge. I don't imagine JCH was our first (or second) choice target and the jury is obviously out but it wouldn't surprise me if it turns out the real significant signing of the window is Ogogo. But it was never a surprise that a lot of the business was gonna be done at the last minute. I'm amazed anyone thought it might not be (hint: they didn't really). We've definitely got enough to stay up, but whether that will happen in a season which seems determined to kick us in the nuts remains to be seen. In any case, it's not really whether the moaning is pointless, it's whether the moaners can just make one decent post summarising their concerns and opening the door for discussion which might be a decent source of debate, or whether they have to bombard every single thread for weeks on end with the same repetitive, unconstructive, whining over and over again every thread ten times a thread over and over just whining and whining again and again about the same, often imaginary, often contradictory, stuff over and over, etc.
