I reckon the semi-final is a big game for both teams and both teams will play strong teams for the match. Most unimportant game for us , just a distraction to what’s important. Couldn’t give a monkeys , hopefully we can put out a load of fringe players and get knocked out , f**k Wembley and f**k the this sh** cup.

Wembley would mean big or quite big money for both clubs and playing a weak team might not help at all in your next game. Lets wait and see if its rovers reserves v sunderland reserves,i don't think it will be that myself.

Does anyone actually think we have a chance of beating Sunderland? After yesterdays terrible performance to go along with our terrible home record and the fact that we never beat the so called 'big teams' I would put us at a 100/1 chance for victory! Worst is, we will then be tired and loose the next league game! The league is far more important.

This is ridiculous. I know let's put out a full squad in the cup, finally win a home match, then be so knackered we are even worse in our home games that follow, but we get to Wembley in a mini, mini mickey mouse cup but get relegated. Play like Yesterday and relegation is a formality. If we win this cup then that's more money for the fight to get out of the Bottom league

After that tactic-less shambles we might as well award them the tie and save everybody the time and effort.

With the league pressure off I actually think we might go and beat them.
It's a distraction we don't need however and could easily jepodise our chances of staying up.

We should play the weakest squad we can get away with in the whatever it is cup. Doesn't really matter - we have the weakest squad whoever we play!!!

Sunderland have sold 1,600 so far. They’re gonna take over. Can’t see many more than 6,000 home fans. I won’t be going .

Sunderland supporters on mass on their forum talking about their day out at Wembley. Surely after our totally inept display yesterday we can't repeat that? After all what I saw from them was hardly world beating and let's face it we did not even show up.

After yesterday's display they could just play the mascots and still win.

We have a very large squad for league 1 and up to now we have fielded teams with seven or more changes in the cup. If you look at yesterday's starting eleven the bench included the likes of Two full internationals, then there is Oveido, who should be back from injury soon and he had a decent World Cup. Add in a couple of exciting youngsters we need to use this cup to given them game time. So it will be a very different team to the one you played yesterday.

Worst is, we will then be tired and loose the next league game! The league is far more important. A good chance of winning. We started both halves the better team on Saturday - but we didn't create a clearcut chance. That could be different the next time we play them. Sunderland didn't impress me going forwards they were just strong defensively. Up to GC and players to be "bit more creative". Would like to see Nichols start v Blackpool and Sund - their huge CBs need to be moved around more and get THD in left midfield to put some of his teasing crosses in. UTG !!

I won't be going to the semi-final and/or final as the competition has been devalued by allowing so-called reserve teams entering. It used to be a valid cup tournament for the lower divisions and had some credibility then but has now become something of a farce. Having said that I won't condemn anyone who wants a good day out at Wembley - but imagine if it was us against Stoke reserves - embarrissing! But its not. Its us, Sunderland, Bury and Portsmouth in the semi finals. We are one game away from Wembley - something we have managed twice in our history? And you want to choose that rare event to make a point to the EFL hahahahaha I very much doubt they are listening - and seeing all the premier league clubs have already been knocked out - your point makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
