Read the first sentence again. Also, Ogogo and Sinclair aren't headless chickens. They are hard working players who are the best we have off the ball. I guess you think Kante is a headless chicken too? Never seen kante play for Rovers new signing ? I don't know why I bother with somebody clearly far below my intelligence and maturity levels.

It’s alright saying that but all three have held their own in league 1 and we haven’t got a big budget for this division. Better the devil you know in that respect. If we shipped all three out at the same time and tried to replace them for the same money could we actually find better ? Maybe but I think it would be a risk. All three are Rovers through and through and three other players of equal ability/ same sort of cost probably wouldn’t improve our midfield . I do think we really need to find a young ball player to take over from Chris lines though. We’ve missed him this season as over the last four seasons he’s been our top assists player. Sinclair is being gradually faided out but I think should stay at the club even after he retires and olly Clarke is a decent league 1 midfielder who has our club in his veins. Good points made and we do not know our budget or what division we will be in next season either. I think your saying that on balance maybe we should release lines and sinclair but not ollie clarke? I reckon sinclair will want to play on so he would happily play for yeovil or cheltenham rather than stay at rovers non playing. I know ollie clarke is a really great lad and has improved but he is too inconsistent and often cannot play a simple pass so i believe we should let him go but understand plenty disagree. It will be very interesting to see our retained list at the end of the season for certain. ps the rovers player i would most like to meet and chat too is stuart sinclair. I’ve met him had a chat for a few minutes and he’s the nicest down to earth professional footballer I’ve ever met. I’d definitely keep him for next season as a squad player and beyond in a coaching or ambassador type role . I also don’t agree with those that say he’s not technically gifted. He wins tackles , never gives the ball away and has good close ball control. His vision / creativity is lacking , if he had that he’d be in the championship. He’s a good solid get it and give it player who must be an absolute pain in the arse to play against. Just ask Matic of Chelsea - now Man UTD stu ran rings around him.

Don't get all of this negativity about The Beard.......every team needs a player like him let's count ourselves lucky that we have him at our club.....if he ever leaves that's the day The Kettle goes in the bin....Fear The Beard.....UTG

Agree with this. I actually believe that DC made this exact mistake, I think he made too many changes too soon and it may have unbalanced the squad and messed with what was quite a settled team. In a way though, I think he was forced to. Lee Brown was obviously unhappy here and wanted to move on, there was no way we could of stopped either Harrison or Bodin with making lucrative moves to the championship and people like Lumley and Sweeney were on with us on loan and was obvious that they needed replacing with permanent players. The mistakes he made were getting rid of players like Gaffney and Montano who we knew we could rely on as dependable players in this division. Also the changes didn't work because they weren't like for like replacements, Payne for Harrison, Moore for Montano and Bennett for Bodin always meant that we were weakening and not progressing. Gaffney's just stuck on the bench for Salford, Monty's hardly got any game time at PV, there's no real evidence they would still be dependable in Div 1, plus Moore only stayed as he had a year left on his contract. DC's problem was signing the likes of Payne and Bennett rather then JCH and Ogogo.
