Same suggestion for every game with a big following when not give them the entire south stand and move those s/t holders into the new family stand, and give them a free drink and pie/pasty for the inconvenience, I'm sure they won't complain if it means that the club make upwards of £10K extra for the playing budget. Thanks Tom great idea 😁 in all seriousness it is a great idea but expect they might beam back or we could be a sky choice. If promotion is riding on it then it will definitely be on Sky, which probably knocks on the head a beam back, although I doubt that'll put off Barnsley fans trying to get to see the game.

If we gave Barnsley the whole of the South stand Hugo could make some money if he set up a stall just outside selling blankets. Then he would be able to afford to renew his season ticket and not have to resort to emptying his lad's piggy bank. Stuff Barnsley, one of those annoying teams that I detest, hope we ruin their promotion party and Sunderland go up instead. They can then go and walk their whippets home. just interested what your problem is with Barnsley, I've only got enough hatred in me for Bristol Sport 1982 Ltd, I dont like Wycome for obvious reasons or Yeovil but why Barnsley?

They can have my ticket for £500 cash.

If we are safe and we dont sell out then why not let them have more, I dont see a problem with it. Surely Rovers will sell out or close to it. Just a couple of away fans ( complimentary's ) in the west stand earlier in the season caused quite a reaction.

Trouble watered up supporters, could lead to a fine, ground closure, points deduction would you be happy with that? Good point, we certainly don't want to add ourselves to the long list of League 1 teams who've been fined, deducted points, and had their ground closed due to a bit of 'handbags' in the home end. The List

I don't remember anything properly kicking off in the Rovers "home end" since West Brom came to Twerton on the last weekend of the 1991 season and we relegated them. Even then it could have been avoided if the police had managed the West Brom fans properly instead of letting them walk through the home side to get to the away end. Since that game there have been away fans in the Rovers home end but nothing nasty has ever come of it.

Annoys me when fans go in the wrong end, at the Sunderland game there were loads of them in the Blackthorn. One dope in front of me gave himself away at kick-off by shouting "Come on Bristol!".

I guess if we get relegated or they miss out on promotion it could get nasty, isn't this the 5th season running somethings rested on our final game?

Stop making stuff up. There's no way there were loads of them and they wouldn't have been stupid enough to have shouted that.

The reason I was sure he wasn't a Rovers fan was what he shouted - I'm not sure why you think I'd make that up.

Did he do it in a mock Bristol accent as well?

I remember that West Brom game. The push & shove was ridiculous and caused all kinds of choas, fortunately I was just out of range on the popular side from where the real disorder was occurring. Even more glad that myself & brother in law went alone that day and the wives/Children gave it a pass. The police seemed to clear out the Midlanders when things got ugly, yet there seemed to be loads of them in the home end behind Parkins goal in the second half when they drew level.
I’m not sure how true it is, but a friend of mine swears he hears the WBA players face break when Saunders crashed his elbow into him after 5/10 minutes right in front of the Popular? The only other thing I can recall was a goal from Pounder maybe? Might have been Vaughn Jones, I’m not sure. The celebrations on the confirmation of their relegation seemed to be as loud as when we went 1-0 up. Very strange.

A cracking forearm to the face though. I was right in the thick of the trouble when the pushing started. I remember standing in front of a couple of scared young kids as WBA smashed their way through. I think the adult they were with may have gone to get food or drink from the hut. Still, that was in my tae kwon do days so the kids were pretty safe behind me

Can't see the issue with giving them the South stand. Rochdale moved season ticket holders to accommodate more Sunderland fans and there wasn't much bother. All depends whether we're safe by then and at this rate its too unpredictable. If there's something on it the home ends will sell out so can see why they've not given Barnsley more

Still, that was in my tae kwon do days so the kids were pretty safe behind me I do remember being on the pitch at the end and Keith V announcing final scores - he ‘deliberately’ (?) got the one that WBA were relying on wrong and they went mental as they thought they were staying up, only for him to correct himself and find that they were down (at which point we went mental). Never will forget men in togas (last game so fancy dress) fighting and also sat in the streets around Bath (ironically) crying.
