Better get a few traps set in the Thatchers, don't want any escaped ferrets running around the terrace nicking sausage rolls

Can't see the issue with giving them the South stand. Rochdale moved season ticket holders to accommodate more Sunderland fans and there wasn't much bother. All depends whether we're safe by then and at this rate its too unpredictable. If there's something on it the home ends will sell out so can see why they've not given Barnsley more We just don't have enough seats to accommodate all the people with seated season tickets if we don't use the South Stand. Actually that's not true. In our 6 'sold out away games' this season at the MEM. We had around 400-500 empty seats in the South; South west and family. Also we average just over 8000 which is 4000 short of capacity. Also by turning away 1000 extra fans a game is costing the club around £25k a game or £150k plus a season ( 7 away games sold out). Another point is that the away allocation have been reduced from 2000 under Higgs time to 1400 t0 1300 now to 1100 . Why ??

The club have looked into this and decided it's not possible, they aren't just going to turn down revenue if they can help it. Take away the seats in the south stand and there aren't enough seats in the rest of the ground to accommodate paying season ticket holders and POTD supporters that need a seat as they can't stand all game. You've got to remember that the club isn't just about maximising revenue, the needs of paying home supporters need to be taken into consideration too. The away capacity has been reduced due to the south stand getting smaller, a block was removed to make way for advertising and the score board. I don't know why capacity has been reduced from 1400 though, I think more of the East Terrace used to be allocated? Frustrating but it is what it is.

I suppose the question needs to be asked.
How many times have away allocation been sold out this season ?? Seven times Pompey Muff Luton Charlton Barnsley Coventry Sunderland.
How many times have seats been sold out for Home fans ??.
I think it is once ( Sunderland). I stand to be corrected..

But how many s/t's do we sell for the South Stand & new Family Stand compared to actual seats in the latter, which seems to have taken the place of the South Stand, for some game this season I've noticed the South Stand virtually empty is that because s/t holders aren't turning up/standing in the West Enclosure or do we really hardly now sell any s/t's for that stand? Would some South Stand s/t holders find it attractive to have a reduced price n s/t which only inc standing ticket for when we play home games against teams with large away followings?

Could be very interesting one if we're safe and they need something from the game.

Why do so many seem to treat people in the South Stand as second class citizens? We pay for our SEATS just like everyone else. Every time a big crowd is expected people all say "let's move all the home fans out of the South Stand" Where are we supposed to go? There is no where else to sit. There are some empty seats because the football is awful and a lot of parents can't convince our kids it's somewhere enjoyable to go. Just because seats are empty, don't assume they are unpaid for.

It's asking the S.T holders on a few occasions to move seats for common sense and to avoid any trouble. Also by allowing the south stand to be taken up by away fans x7 games a season . We stand to make £150k plus a season extra. Why are we only allowing 1000 away in a ground that can hold 12300 ?.

Because it's the only stand where we can safely put more away fans and it's usually half to two thirds full on match days. Where else in the ground can we put away fans for the bigger matches? Unless families have really taken to the Family Stand then there must be spaces there south stand s/t holders can be seated?

Quite a few disabled fans have ST's in the South Stand, they can't always attend matches due to health reasons, but that's not a reason to treat them as 2nd class fans. Some of them have quite restricted movement, and have been allocated seats in a position which is most accessible for them - this would probably not be possible if they were booted out to other stands to accommodate visitors.

I wasn't that bothered that they were buying home end tickets but two fans in that thread called us "Bristol" so I hope they have their tickets refused on the turnstiles.
