I’m extremely impressed one Barnsley fan joined our Supporters club 3 months ago, just in case he required a guaranteed ticket for their promotion party in May.
True dedication and forward thinking there.

If we are safe and we dont sell out then why not let them have more, I dont see a problem with it.

Same suggestion for every game with a big following when not give them the entire south stand and move those s/t holders into the new family stand, and give them a free drink and pie/pasty for the inconvenience, I'm sure they won't complain if it means that the club make upwards of £10K extra for the playing budget.

You just know someone will ‘not give a damn’ and demand they are in their seat until the very seasons end. Even with a few freebies passed their way.

Seems like a good idea in practice but in reality it's more complicated as all the season ticket holders for the south stand won't fit in an already fairly full family stand and we still don't know if there will be anything riding on the match, we could lose both games over Easter, draw at Fleetwood and still need a point or two on the last game of the season. Pretty sure it being the last game of the season and Barnsley fans going in the home end will mean that all seats in the ground sell out anyway.

If we gave Barnsley the whole of the South stand Hugo could make some money if he set up a stall just outside selling blankets. Then he would be able to afford to renew his season ticket and not have to resort to emptying his lad's piggy bank.

Stuff Barnsley, one of those annoying teams that I detest, hope we ruin their promotion party and Sunderland go up instead. They can then go and walk their whippets home.

But is the Family Stand full with s/t's (which I doubt) or pay on the day & freebies, unless we've still got a chance of going down I can't see all out seats being sold to Rovers fans. If Barnsley fans are buying seats in the Rovers side of the South Stand then I know where I'd sooner sit if I was a Rovers fans with young kids.

It was sold out for the Sunderland game so I assume similar for the Barnsley game, there's just not a lot of seats available at the mem on a matchday. South stand will be safe for families with young children, most Barnsley fans trying to get tickets for the home end will plan on going on the terraces and rarely is much trouble caused.

They ‘ll be safe in the Thatchers, as long as they’re not riding a horse. Or pushing in behind me at the bar.

Thanks Tom great idea 😁 in all seriousness it is a great idea but expect they might beam back or we could be a sky choice.
