Terrible. Absolutely terrible.
Genuinely worry for next season IF we stay up.

If we keep the same players we will be down by christmas.
An up turn in the style of play is needed or crowds will drop like a stone.

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Genuinely worry for next season IF we stay up. It’s unbelievable our home record this season. We have been so negative. Is it a result of the squad DC left us or something else? GC has grinded out points but the football has been painful. We don’t know what system we want to play, we have a forward line with 3 strikers having what? 5 goals between them? I fear for this season now as I don’t see us getting any more points.

I said to my mates at the time, GC should have been given the job till the end of the season, with no guarantees that he would get the job, even if he kept us up. Now we have a guy with the chequebook and he has to magic up anotherJCH from somewhere as a start, otherwise if recruitment is poor we are in for a worse season than this, and I’m saying that on the back of a home record showing 11 defeats!! I think wael panicked before Christmas myself, thinking he was Plymouth bound, gave him what was right for GC and his family, not what was the right thing to do for BRFC time will tell I guess.

It’s simple players like Lines,Leadbitter,Bennett and Matthew’s have been alienated or moved on,the punishment of wanting to play football He has a plan A of negative football and no plan B Why did they give him a 2 and a half year contract?

We've been sh** at home all season not just under GC.
One of the reasons I didn't make use of my season tickets this week.

Inherited an abysmal squad. Signed JCH.
There’s no need to hammer the guy just yet, a whole summer of in’s and out’s are incoming.

I can understand the frustration here after that bollox but people need to remember that it’s not GC’s players, and it appears that he has done exactly what it says on the tin ugly crap football but kept us up! Job done in my opinion, he’s our manager for next season wether we like it or not, so let’s give the man chance as he now has the summer to sort out the dead wood (sorry forrest!). Give the man a chance I say before we write him off before we even kick a ball next season! UTG!

Let’s put it like this under DC we would’ve been relagated by now,I would have took this position when GC took over wouldn’t of you lot? Inherited a out of form squad playing crap football, now he’s grinned out results that will most likely keep us up🙏 Made a great signing in JCH and we still got 2 very exciting games left, let’s all now take over fleetwood and then pack the mem to make sure we do our bit UTG

Been saying this for weeks. Our tactics under him are awful - it seems we’d play for a draw even if Fleetwood put out their under 11’s next week. There is a terrible lack of creativity in the team and it absolutely screams for Lines every week. If the rumours are true that Lines does not play purely because of a personal issue between GC and him, then I’m sorry, but GC can f*ck off as it is absolutely criminal to risk our league one status playing the useless Upson week in week out over a perfectly fit Lines.

Not a single player came out of today with any credit whatsoever, if it was a sign of things to come then we will indeed be knackered.

I'd give him until Christmas, he needs to have the opportunity to bring in new players, if he fails then he goes, simple. I've never been endeared to GC so never felt loyal.

Maybe that's a GC signing that people were underrating. Much like the media sharpening the daggers for OGS, the poster is conveniently forgetting GC has yet to have a summer to mould his own squad. He’s merely making do with what he has & has (as mentioned above) signed an extremely decent striker out of nowhere, that we can all thank ourselves lucky to have.

I think we are just about safe now and total thanks to GC because we were already relegated when he took over. But I really do despair at him being given a long term contract though. His record against the top 6 was already grounds for me thinking that we should be looking to do better next season but when you add in the quality of football...is this really the direction we want to go in? You are right about doing the wrong thing for the club, a contract til the end of the season should have been an audition for GC now I guess he will be here come what May next season as they won't want to pay up at least a year and then have to hire someone else.

Genuinely feel he is playing the hand he has adequately, but isn’t a silk purse from sows ear kind of guy. Today showed that the ugly brand of football he knows we have to play easily falls to sh** when a few of your dependables have a crap day. Great managers can dig something out of those situations. He didn’t today, whether he can only time will tell. Trip to Fleetwood a massive test of his tactical abilities - has away form been skill or luck I wonder?

It might be awful but it’s got us points and that is all that matters considering lots were backing us to go down at Christmas. I thought he got the starting lineup and substitutes right today but 7/8 players just didn’t turn up.
That said, I do want to see a fair few players signed to kick us on in the summer, need to find our way of playing at home again and it was clear to see today that some of the players just aren’t going to take us where we want to be.
