I’m watching it at the Mem, got an end of season presentation, just hope it’s better than last year with the World Cup! The buffering on a bbc game was shocking!

we beat Spain and Croatia to get there, Le Tournoi was invitation, so I’d suggest a little more creditable? Definitely. I think its a really good way of getting rid of most of the boring friendlies and the majority of the games were well supported and the teams were mostly filled with first choice players who played like they were up for doing well in the tournament. FIFA are a corrupt organisation who for years have been ripping the heart out of the game but this tournament definitely seems to be a step in the right direction. I’m really looking forward to the game although I’ll have to avoid the score until I watch the highlights as I’m out with the mrs for our anniversary. im flying out tomorrow 👍🏽

I think this competition is a good idea. It's much better than just having 'friendlies'. However, there has been too big a gap since the end of the normal league seasons. Right now the players just want to hit the beaches.

Was going to go but flights from Vienna to Portugal are ridiculously expensive 😟
Looking forward to watching it though, don’t think we will make it past a very good Netherlands team. Especially as Liverpool & Spurs players only joined up with the team yesterday 😒
No real biggie if we do lose though, whilst I’d like to win I don’t really want to qualify for the euros a year early!

Ah just reread it, so basically if we don’t qualify through our usual group stage then we still get a chance through play offs because we won our nations league group. If we qualify, then that play off position gets passed to the next best team from League A who didn’t win their group
Jesus that must have been some thought process to come up with that!
Thanks for correcting me

Nobody qualifies for the Euros by winning the Nations League. Yes they do, the winner of each does Unless they changed that? Don't think that was ever the case. Think each team that won thier group, guaranteed themselves a play off place for the Euros, if they fail to qualify from the group stages. Think that was the case anyway.

It’s like an even worse version of watching rovers play. Except the prima Donna factor is accentuated.

Sometimes there's a lot to be said about just lumping the ball forward. What a way to throw away the game!

An overhyped friendly is all it is, not a great performance but I’m sure we’ll do better when it matters.
Oh, and never play Walker and Stones as a CB partnership ever again. Dreadful.

The third place play off always makes me laugh. Like who really cares and who wants to be beaten up for a further 90 mins to win absolutely sod all.
