Getting Payne out the club would be as good as a new signing, bad for morale and ties up part of budget than could be better used. Trouble is I think he will hold out for a pay-off before he moves. How we ever agreed to pay £200k for him I'll never know and he will probably cost the same again in wages and pay-off before he's gone. Messes up a big part of CG budget for next year. Whilst I'm not a fan of Payne so far, how is he bad for morale? Only asking as I've not heard anything apart from terrace talk? Any proof?

My understanding is that lots of player have triggered 1 year extensions based on appearances. Sercs, Craig and Rodman were the ones I know about. To be fair I'd have kept all 3 anyway.

I think it’s a little bit shabby the other 3 lads involved in our double promotion get a nice video thank you while Daniel Leadbitter gets a photo! I know you’re going to say he didn’t score or make snide remarks about his crossing but he did some good things in 5 years and always gave his best covering more ground than most Similar to Chris Lines in treatment it seems a sad way for him to exit never once given a chance under GC when fit and then not even given parity with the other long serving lads Just a thought Thought the rumour was that he was out injured for months, as he only played in one DS squad last month. Problem is we don't know what was going on in the back ground which needed addressing, DC couldn't get a positive response from the players, in the past Trollope and Penney all failed, GC clearly didn't. A manager is always measured by his results not the send off he gave to departing players.

Lack of class shown in the abrupt mention of Lockyer's, Sinclair's and Lines' departures. On the BCFC site they gave details of departing players and gave fulsome thanks for their contributions over their times at the club. Basically all we've done is said thanks and goodbye. To be fair each of them has had a Facebook post with a two minute video showing their highlights and thanking them for what they've done for the club.

That's quite a conclusion to jump to when we've no idea how it was handled in person, which let's face it is far more important than a little article on the website. Lines tweets and GC’s interview is pretty conclusive if you ask me Like I've just mentioned they got a pretty decent send off video on Facebook each.

After having four keepers on the books this season what odds Andre is the only one we have a week before the season starts. A mistake not to keep Smith IMO, not as first choice but to add competition and provide decent quality back up.
Surprised Parts is staying. Not been impressed with him at all this season. James Clarke is clearly the better right back and can provide central defensive cover so do we really need another in the squad to perform the same function? My fear is that we will go into next season with Parts and J Clarke as right backs when we are crying out for a new right back - one who can do the basic defensive duties but also add a bit more in attack someone in the mould of Michael Smith.

Surprised Menayese was signed for another year as I had thought he would move to League 2 or National League to try and get first team football, but then again he might fancy his chances with Lockyer leaving.
I'm sure Sinclair wouldn't of been on a huge wage and if the injury problems are the reason he's been released then I'm sure he would have signed some kind of 'pay as you play' deal. Will miss his tenacity and work rate in midfield but as long as GC stays then will get behind him and trust his decisions... plot twist Sincs signs as new Plymouth gaffer?! :L

No real surprises in there but it does show we are in for a big summer in terms of recruitment with a lot of the first team squad on their way. Disappointed to see Sinclair go but is probably the right decision. Partington is the strange one for me but as long as he as seen as back up then I am not overly worried. Don't know why Mensah or Matthews are't included on the list of loan players returning. Assume they are both still under contract? This is typical Rovers, they can't even produced a retained list without it being complete! I can't understand why we're offering Parts a new contract as he's struggled in virtually every game he's played this season, surely there's better players out there we could sign? Now Leads has gone we're still going to have no pace down our right side next season if JC & Parts sign new contracts. Disappointed the club didn't let Sincs have a decent send off on Saturday, personally I'd have sooner thanked him for his time at the club than Locks who's simply after more £'s. I remember Stu running up to the Thatchers end after our first game at the Mem against Grimsby in our conference season (which I think was on BT sports?) He spent time signing pictures and talking to fans.I Watched him for a few mins and knew that we would be ok that season as this/or he was the type of person and player DC was bringing in. His energy and passion were worth as much as Matty Taylors 20 odd goals that season and during our double season..( BTW You fart catchers on OTIB - as no doubt this will end up on there 👌👎👏💏 thats not a knock at the snake..) but his worth to us was just as important those seasons. I would have loved to seen him stay here as a back up, more so than Locks as the latter is going for the money while Sincs loves the game and playing for our club. If I was Yeovil I would be straight on the phone trying to snap him up.He is local, and even if his injurys and legs are not of L1 standard now, for a L2 or Conference side he would be great. I hope one day he could end up back here as a fitness coach or kitman just based on his passion and personality alone!! I also wish Lines,Locks and Leads all the best. All legends and heros for our club over the past 5 seasons!

Absolutely vital that we get rid of Payne and Bennett somehow ...I sense both are toxic in and around the first team squad. Maybe Swindon take Bennett but I sense we are stuck with Payne .. maybe JCH might sort him out? I guess I’m on my own when I say I would stick with Mensah... never really given a proper shot with DC... 3month contract show us what you can do ?If Mensah has "returned" rather than been "released" I'm pretty certain he's still under contract, what's a bit odd is GC says he's looking for pace and height and Mensah seemed to have both of those attributes. From what I saw of Mensah on you tube it looks like there is a player here.Since signing here, not so much tho! If wages are cheap could well be worth another go.

Surely he has earned the right to take a chance playing at a higher level?
