I think it’s going to be a tough division for sure ... if GC can get us competing and Top 10 I think that would represent real progress for me. Agreed. Heard any more info on potential incomings?

Are we still making a marquee signing or is that off now? Two marquee signings: Walter Proof and Guy Rope.

Ben Woodburn on a season long loan at Oxford.. Now that catches the eye... I thought Oxford would be challenging before this signing..

But has already been mentioned on another thread today he only managed 7 games whilst on loan at Sheff Utd before being recalled in December and then finished last season struggling to get game time for Liverpool's U23's.

Could go either way, his career has been on the decline, since breaking onto the scene at an early age. A lot of fans are saying he's over hyped and will leave Liverpool soon. If he gets his career back on track, it will be a quality signing. If his form continues to dip and he suffers from injuries again, it could go the over way. On loan at Sheffield United last season and had injury problems and barely played. After just 7 appearances "He was subsequently recalled from his loan by Liverpool where he spent the remainder of the season making sporadic appearances for the club's U23 side" Sounds like he's on a downward spiral!  He's 19 FFS. Downward spiral because he couldn't get in a Championship side that finished 3rd and were promoted to the Premier League? Give me strength. He suffered a couple of injuries last season which restricted his Liverpool U23 appearances. Good signing for Oxford and should do well in my opinion.

Bet we still beat them at theirs though!

All these loans from the big clubs means nothing - didn't we have the two from Chelsea a few years back? Hardly strengthened the side in the short term they were here.

As a Wales fan I’ve never been impressed by him. A small purple patch when he scored v Austria but has shown very little since then. I don’t think he will be a top level player.

A lot of player's drop down the league's, instead of rising up them. So him being 19, as nothing to do with it. A make our break season for him and I think it could go either way. Some player's can't cope with the hype at a young age, especially after a few injuries.

John Marquis to Pompey is a good signing. It is understood the fee is close to £2million.

I've got them to win the league, if not, definitely top two. Clarke was the best defender in the lower leagues for the past two seasons and is a big loss, but they still have enough to get in the automatic places in my opinion.

No doubt a good signing but tbh I wonder why they bought Ellis in the first place. I doubt if they would have signed him if they had got Marquis first. UTG!
