Me and my wife welcomed our first son in June so this will be his first kit. I hope it’s a good one!!! Congratulations! Welcome to the gas and a lifetime of angst with the occasional high. UTG!

Interesting point. My son was born and brought up in London. I decided to gently persuade him (well Stalinesque indoctrination) that Rovers would be his team. Cue 25 years of mostly pain. A friend of mine is an avid Nottingham Forest fan. His son (aged 5) is a massive Spurs fan. He said he didn't want to give him the burden of following a team that hadn't even played in the top tier for (now) 20 years. I've been expecting a call from social services for some time. Don’td think I could deal with my kid supporting another team!! Football isn’t about (IMO) playing at the top level, it’s about the love of the game, family, promotions, relegations, unacceptable prices of sausage rolls, meeting the players in Asda, actually playing a role for your club and most importantly actually being able to attend games knowing the people around you are real fans, rather than tourists or arm chair supporters. Of course I’d love Rovers to be in the Prem, but chances are that they day we get there, it wouldn’t be the same Rovers we grew up loving. Why? Perhaps it depends on where you live. Having never lived in Bristol I wouldn’t have expected my sons to support my team. In the end one supports Everton because of other family connections and one supports Bournemouth as it’s his local team and I took him to see them when little, way, way before PL days. Supporting a team is as much about the emotional attachment as anything else and that’s much harder to achieve if someone tells you who to support or if you don’t get to see them as often. Most I can say is that Rovers are their second favourite team and they’ve been at most of the important times, including Mansfield! And you’re right gassy, Bournemouth in the PL is very different from the days, 10 years ago, when they escaped non league after a 17 point deduction. Wouldn’t probably be the same for Rovers or any team. UTG!

Considering the age.. Ye! It is actually ok! Badge and sponsor have pretty much faded completely now, but the material of the shirt is still remarkably good and the sponsors down the arms the same.

Just seen on Twitter that the kit won’t be available in women’s cut. Again some may say ‘so what’ but with the launch of the new women’s team and that fact it’s 2019 you’d think something like that wouldn’t be overlooked.

Do we ever sell them in a woman's cut, is there that much demand for such a cut to warrant the cost? I can't recall my son's GF worrying too much last season about the cut.

So I presume we are playing Plymouth in the new kit? 27-07-2019 - Only just realised as thought it was being unveiled at the family fun day. Edit just seen it states 8pm

So the 1989/90's style with the present badge? Possibly no front sponsors, as sticking anything else but "Design Windows" on the front would ruin it, assuming tha Design Windows are no longer around/not this season's sponsors?

Yeah I was hoping for a woman’s cut myself - a pregnant woman that is, been overdoing the Guinness lately 😄

That's probably our most iconic shirt given it's the only time we've finished Champions in modern times plus it's the 30th anniversary.

No sponsor on the front would also be an absolute dream.

I have that shirt and it is a beauty, however, I think from the glimpse in the latest video that it is based on the 89/90 shirt, the collar is based on it. Also looks like the away shirt adjacent to it, possibly all white, which would be great.

Maybe not a 1990 inspired kit then going off the latest teaser video.
