Largely true, but the law of averages says that, whilst you will pick up the odd bargain for next to nothing, you are more likely to get poorer players by paying less. That's generally why they are worth less. Nichols and Payne are no Taylor and Harrison, but then again did anyone think they would be. DC couldn't be expected to keep unearthing gems like Taylor and Bodin. Eventually, it was going to go wrong, sadly. I'm not saying we should be spending money we haven't got. In fact, I'd rather we didn't, even if it does end in us finding our level at a lower point that we currently occupy. Also if the Al-Qadi's are selling us and have been touting us about to consortiums for over a year, why would they put more money in? Wow.. Calm down!!! why are you so angry?

Just typical of your Mods, can't even talk to fellow fans from across the river so high the level of jealousy, we have many Rovers friends on OTIB and have great discussion... Maybe one day you will be able to hold a mature debate with out just banning rival fans from your forum... Its embarrassing! Babe I hope you stay..could do with fresh meat on here.x

I don't understand the constant emphasis on the £500,000 figure. Yes that would be a lot for us but we didn't just do it out of the blue? We sold 3 players for a combined £1.4 million (potentially £1.7m). We sold Gaffney for £50k too. Yes it's a lot to spend on strikers, but where else did that money go? Surely not to wages?
