Decent Fan banter from a number of years ago: Brighton taunts - 'You're Welsh and you know you are....'
Gashead response - 'You're French and you know you are...'
Made me laugh! I imagine this may still be common banter vs Brighton, but we haven't had chance to use it for a while...

Hopefully our *fans don’t resort to singing those stereotypical songs about Brighton and their fans...... cringeworthy and embarrassing "Does your boyfriend know you're ere?" is a classic

Not expecting much of a crowd by the looks of it 'The East Stand, East Stand Terrace, Thatchers Terrace and Family Stand will be open for the fixture'.
Not even opening the West Stand, South West Stand, West Terrace, Family Terrace or South Stand.

I find it hard to believe we cannot muster a half decent crowd when we are playing a Premier league team in a competitive game
bet OTIB will have a field day

Typically Sky have gone for Newport yet again hopefully they'll get Hammered(!) so they'll then put another southern team on in the future.

Just to say, Brighton fans I talk to aren't happy with the draw. 8-2 still lingers (I was there to see that humiliation). Not sure they'll play a weakened side though. By the way, one cannot compare size of clubs at present. Brighton are hoping to expand the Amex to around 40,000 capacity. The demand for tickets down here is enormous. However, there is no doubt Rovers have the potential in terms of fan base to be a similar size entity. ltimately it's all about a stadium. The two clubs' histories are quite similar to that extent - though of course Brighton are way ahead now. The income the Amex generates leads to million pound signings, and, more importantly, the club has a pivotal role in the social fabric of the city.

Can't have Sky looking at an empty stand when showing highlights of us giving Brighton a going over

The last few times we have played Prem clubs in the league cup we have had gates of 9,000 - 11,000 so I find it very odd why west side of the ground is closed. , Total stupidity.

Maybe we can't pay our electric bills so to keep the costs down we shut half the ground.... Cost cutting before the new owners take over in September

There are people who sit in the west stand they have disabilities and use ramp and lift, they won't be able to see the game as this the only area they sit in, there are some thicko's at this club.

More like can't afford the stewards etc, potentially the only time we'll see a Premiership side in Bristol this season and half the ground is closed, perhaps we don't need that 20K stadium after all!! Surely Grandstand etc seats will sell out to just s/t holders alone?

Where is Wael going to sit with the new owners of the club ? Very short sighted by the management team I Bet if Brighton was playing the other team in Bristol they would sell out the whole stadium..........

Surely Grandstand etc seats will sell out to just s/t holders alone? Accepting Tuesday's attendance was poor, the decision to close certain areas made sense. But for Brighton it would also make sense to promote advance ticket sales for the game and, if necessary, open the West Stand and Terrace if there is suitable demand.
As well as anything else, online advance sales overcome the queues that we have at cup games. I was as guilty as everyone else, just turning up on the night and paying at the ticket office, I just about got in on time for kick off, but many behind me wouldn't have.

I have contacted club about this, not only could the club lose revenue, but by not opening up the West stand which houses some disabled supporters the club is contravening its own equality policy and maybe breaking the law, so there is quiet a few things for the club to think about.

Reliably informed by a Brighton supporting contact of mine, they will 100% go with a reserve squad and easily sell out their allocation. Which surprises me.
The West stand making way for the East, must mean the club have wind of a potential appearance live on Sky.
