A quick reminder, Rovers didn't open the bar for last years Football World Cup. Work was being done to it then. We did open for England nations league game. Expect we will open for the Euros next season. Don't think it's worth trying to get a change of licence for one rugby game though. Yea but if you state facts like those then people can’t slag the club off can they?

The bar in the East Stand wasn’t and was left empty. Not particularly slagging off the club, just noticing something that happened.

Just wondering when you last said something positive about the club?

Done the hard part. Surely they will go on and win it now..... One thing is probably for sure.. we won't play as well as we did against New Zealand and South Africa won't play as badly as they did against Wales. I guess we must be the bookies favourites, but it is by no means in the bank. Still.. at least we aren't playing Wales. That would have been horrific...

Gonna watch the first half at home, then listen to the second half en route to Rochdale. Don't think my travelling companion is a rugby fan though....

I think ENGLAND will , if anything, play better. We hammered them in the warm up games and fast Eddie seems more with it and exudes a quiet confidence that I’ve not seen in him before plus we have cut out the silly penalties. I expect SA to try their kicking game, as did Wales but this is a totally different squad, in mindset and skill levels. I feel pretty darn confident of a sound victory. We really have learned from our mistakes

Do any fellow Kingswood dwellers know of any boozers that will be licensed to watch the game in ? I’d love to watch with a few pints when we win this

Will ask Mike if licensed for that time or will go to my nephews place as there is always a good bunch that gather there. It’s a shame that this isn’t at a time where many would absolutely ram the pubs

Sometimes I have watched the internationals, and will defo watch on Saturday, but it does seem complicated for me as to when is it a scrum, and when is it a penalty. Plus running forward and passing the ball backwards, seems a bit odd

No different to watching the Rovers some weeks. What do Ze germans make of Rugby Nobby? It's a growing sport here. Germany play in the Europa Division and they are hoping to qualify for a World Cup within the next eight years. The German National team play their games about 2km from my home in the stadium of the Offenbach Kickers. I've been to watch a couple of times with German friends, and it's not that bad a standard. Germany are crying out for another sport because apart from football there is no other sport that they watch that draws large crowds. Like most lower level nations they have a sprinkling of SA. NZ, French etc players. The fastest growing sport here is Cricket, with over 400 new clubs being started in the last year. This is mainly due to the influx of migrants, especially Indians.

Ugh.. imagine getting smashed by the Germans at Cricket ffs! interesting stuff though cheers.
