Good luck to Ian.
See City fans trying to make fun of Holloway over this, he’s had to lower his expectations over what job he could get, meanwhile Steve Cotterill still thinks he’s a candidate for a top job, and will have to sit at the job centre until he does exactly what Holloway’s done.

Best of luck Ollie. Hope he does really well, hope we haven't missed the boat. He, in my opinion, was arrogant in saying he would not apply for rovers but that we had to call him. We haven’t missed anything and he keeps contradicting himself on the topic. His brief interview on the Grimsby job is much different in nature to when he was linked to the vacancy with us totally agree kingswood! He should have stept up and said give me an interview at least instead hes going to a town that's classed as one of the worst places to live in England and their main club song is a few claps and then shouted the word fish!!!! The guy thought he was above the structure and it's a shame as I really wanted ollie back if only for the remainder of the season.

Just look, Holloway @ Grimsby 23 points , Coughlin @ Mansfield 24 points, and Clarke @ Walsall on 28. Wont be seeing any of them for a few years I wouldn't be so sure, the seasons not halfway through yet anything can still happen.

Good luck to him but I lost respect for him when he said to us “You have to call me as I need to feel wanted”
Let’s see how long he lasts there ..

Based on the comments that the family are moving up to Grimsby and he is investing in the club, I hope it is a while, as if they sell their property in Bristol they'll possibly struggle to buy back down south again.

Probably be his last job in management if it doesn’t go well.
Good luck to him but glad he’s not here

Aren't his kids grown up or at least at Uni, I assume it's just him and his wife renting a house in the area for the football season rather than moving house? As far as the Rovers job he probably knew them well he'd upset the owners in the past, or heard on the grape BG had already got the job so little point in applying. It'll be gutting now if he turns out to be a bigger success than BG, with so many west country teams doing well and 3 ex-Rovers managers managing teams L2 it's an interesting league to keep an eye on, results wise.

No club had wanted him since QPR. Even though he said he would take the job with us, Walsall, Plymouth etc. Hope for him, he can turn it around. But I'd rather have Garner at this stage of thier careers.

There's no way ollie is investing in Grimsby Town football club 🤣🤣🤣 it's a strange move for him and family if they all choose to relocate to the area but I cant see they will. I dont see it being Ollie's last job not at all and personally I can see him having one more go as manager at the Gas in 24 months time if we/hopefully get new owners!

As much as I wanted Holloway back here , I’m still very happy with Garner and I think (hope) he’s the man to push us on from here on out. Good luck to Ollie but we’ve got Warner now so I’m going to back him 100% UTG !!!!!!!
