Its encouraging to read that BG has been watching this lad for some 18 months and that TW and his staff have been monitoring him as well. It seems they are singing off the same hymn sheet which can only be good news. Perhaps our days of signing ageing journeymen in search of the last pay cheque are finally over. Like Tony Craig. Wouldn't mind a few more like him. Don't forget Alex Rodman! It's all about finding a balance. Recruiting youthful players that are trying to make a name for themselves is good but you also want a few older heads in the dressing room to provide leadership, experience and act as role models for the younger ones.

There were 100 witnesses at the Blue Diamond dinner who heard it. Except the guy from the other forum who was there but said it's all bullshit. And the other 99 witnesses haven't come forward. All the doom and gloom was put about by Coughlin as one of his reasons to leave the club. There is no doubt in my mind that he had been in discussions with Mansfield at this point and was looking at ways he could justify walking out on us. All that bollox about his family was just a smoke screen, and because we had knocked back Mansfields approach he threw teddy and spat his dummy and made his statement on the Ipswich pitch, thereby forcing the issue. Hes gone now, and if that's the sort of person he is, then we're probably better off shot of him. The blokes an Arsehole ( got that, BB) and as far as I'm concerned he compounded his Arsehole rating to AA+ with that toe curling interview with 20man. lets hope that Ricky Gervais can bring us a better style of football other than the agricultural although effective style that the Arsehole gave us. Perhaps then the fans will start to return. It seems that Coughlin and Radford at Mansfield deserve each other, and I hope their enterprise is a dismal failure and Coughlin gets to spend a whole lot more time with his family. Don't forget GC worked miracles to keep us up last season , he played the team to it strengths , if it wasn't for him we would be in league two now and certainly would not be in the position to sign players from Reading and Derby. Hopefully in time BG will make our game more attractive.

Pleased with this. I reckon BG may well change the system now. I get the feeling he's not really someone who wants to play 352 and launch it forward to the big man. Didn't work too badly for us though did it?

Great potential this lad I've seen him play twice myself very tidy, good touch and very clever. It's quite obvious the way Ben Garner is going with his signings young hungry not expensive - players he can coach and mould into what he wants from them. I don't think we're gonna see the likes of Bogle signing any time soon a lot of wishful thinking but would love to be proved wrong. These look like just additions to the squad you'd hope if the likes of JCH or Craig left we'd replace them with experienced players. I agree Topper if you sell experience then ideally you want to replace with experience I just think in this transfer window if the squad is kept together he will be signing young and hungry players with pace. I just thought it was nonsense people suggesting we were signing Bogle and Joe Ledley.

Hopefully in time BG will make our game more attractive. Yes he did, and I'm sure we will all be forever grateful that he saved us. I always supported him against the DC love in threads where DC leaving was being criticised and people were wishing he were back. GC saved us and, although the home games were usually dire, I will forever remember those brilliant away games at Shrewsbury and Ipswich, and I was hoping that we were turning the corner and more expansive football was on the way. The way he conducted himself and then left was a complete kick in the teeth. Hes gone now, and we have to throw our support behind the new manager. Hopefully his new signings will prove to be a success. Let's hope there's more to come and he makes us an attractive team to watch. I suppose if he does prove to be a success some higher team will poach him from us.

Genuinely excited about this one! Just been watching back through some of the videos posted and he seems a natural footballer, quick with great control and a head for getting into the box, and a cracking foot/feet!

It was quoted that we are at 97% of our income on wages, which I believe someone is going FA cup revenue will help too. Probably the amount earned already may have paid for the wages for these 2 new signings for the rest of the season.

If he Josh has been given a two and half year deal then clearly our scouting staff rate him (certainly the Reading supporters do), my guess we will still play three central defenders but there will be more emphasis on going forward. I think THD will soon be in the side because is very much a BG type of player - very dynamic going forward from a wing back position and just simply a superb player. AR also settling in well at RWB. With Gavin back we now have six strikers at the club including DM, my guess is JCH will be sold (I would nuch prefer him to be given a pay rise to stay) and two others will leave or be loaned out with one new guy (not Omar unfortunately) coming in if JCH leaves. Deon Moore, Reilly and Vic going, don't you think ?

Think this will see Sercs leave, hope not. Who's going to take all the free kicks etc if Sercs leaves? If Sunday's anything to go by he's going to take the holding CM position alongside Upson.

Think we will have to sell and only him, jaakola, Alfie K and JCH are worth anything, cant see us not selling one of those and jaak is injured.

Hang on a second, what happened to the poster claiming his source told him that Wael is forcing us to sell 3 key players?

Over the moon. Bg may come across a bit wet but christ - someone knows what they are actually doing! Very excited! I had that feeling when Buckle arrived...........it very soon passed. I think Ben Garner is cut from a different cloth though and has far more integrity, much more technical know how and ideas, more contacts and much less arrogance than Buckle.
