Its encouraging to read that BG has been watching this lad for some 18 months and that TW and his staff have been monitoring him as well. It seems they are singing off the same hymn sheet which can only be good news. Perhaps our days of signing ageing journeymen in search of the last pay cheque are finally over. Like Tony Craig. Wouldn't mind a few more like him. Craig aging, but hardly a journeyman. Ignoring short loans he's played for Millwall, Palace, Brentford and us, the vast majority of those games being for Millwall.

Ignoring short loans he's played for Millwall, Palace, Brentford and us, the vast majority of those games being for Millwall. And he is held in high regard at Millwall. During my time in sales I used to have to attend meetings in Woolwich and would stay over & watch Millwall as 3 reps were fans. They always ask about him & didn’t want him gone

Craig’s hard as nails. 34 years old and he’s only missed 1 league game in the 2 years he’s been here, when he was left on the bench away to Coventry at the start of this season. We lost that match 2-0, by the way! One of DC’s best signings.

Follow his exit, some Royals fans said Barrett did not get enough of a chance in the first team.
It's an argument which doesn't hold with Bowen, who admitted the forward needed to improve other aspects of his game to boost his chances of a senior spot.
"I would say he has because he played in the first team," he replied when asked about supporters saying he wasn't given a chance.
"When I came in maybe he didn't get one but it's not one of those where I pushed him out.
"I was considering him every day but I talked to him about his situation and I was saying it's the other side of his game which he has to get right.
"All the supporters can see his talent and I don't doubt that. When he was on the ball something could have happened.
"But I needed him to look at the other side of his game. He has to work on it and that will come in the future.
"I said to him, he could go to a side like Bristol Rovers, shine and get a move somewhere else and come back and bite me.
"I wished him well and I hope he does do that but at the moment there were not many opportunities to get him regular football in the team."

He clearly needs to get fitter and lose weight and reading fans saying the same. “Very frustrating player as great talent but not prepared to be fitter and lose weight to perform all game “

Hang on a second, what happened to the poster claiming his source told him that Wael is forcing us to sell 3 key players? There's two posters that I can specifically remember but I won't be saying anything until February 1st.
