We will have to be careful with too many loans - only 5 can be in any matchday squad I think At the moment the only 2 real worthy or of a regular place are Blackman and Ginnelly, so I don't think we need to worry that much! Although I doubt we'll sign more than 2 more anyway.

1 million plus add ons - sounds about right - they know we are mugs! The fact we have asked about loans in return disgusts me! So much for permanent replacements for our best player then! maybe we want a loan(s) in the deal, because we have our eyes on other players for the summer who aren't currently available
Does that sort of joined up thinking sound like Rovers to you?!

Or maybe the ALQ's are really looking to sell the club, hence, they just want to bank the JCH money so they can keep it all to themselves? As far as fans saying snap Charlton's hands off, who do they expect to score our goals if JCH does leave? again it's the Evening post, but do people actually read the Dam words that are written or just see a bit and make their mind up
There is also a desire from all parties to avoid the sort of late night deadline-day move that saw the Gas sign the striker last year.
by getting a loan as part of the deal (presumably a striker) we aren't left at the last minute trying to replace him, because people would sure bloody moan if we sold him and ran out of time to get a replacement

Obviously we won’t get 11 million for JCH but if that is the touted fee Peterborough are trying to extract for Toney then we should be looking for 2 to 3 million at least especially as we are under no immediate contract pressure.
Taylor and Bodin were disappointing but their contracts were outside our control if we roll over and let our tummy be tickled with JCH it will be ineptitude on a grand scale.

We could always sign our own players so we aren’t reliant on a loan from the club that is trying to sign our best player...if Charlton have got anyone worth a toss in their squad they probably won’t want to send them to us given our current form- we’ll get their equivalent of Victor Adeboyejo.

I have no idea, but I'd rather not be miserable about it and decide it's all going to be sh** before a deal is even agreed

It's not a bad first bid. But it certainly appears that they mean business.. they weren't just fishing to see if there was a low release clause lying about

Am I right in thinking Coventry will profit from his sale as well?
