I have been a regular at Rovers since 1963. "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE". I remember we were save when John Ward left and Darrell Clark took over we thought we would never drop out the the league. Yeah but Bury :a deceased parrot: Bolton and Southend weren't in that league. We won’t go down, there’s more chance of me joining Phillip Schofield on the other bus than that.

I was in uproar because people were in uproar , I still can’t get my head around how so many were complaining when we were looking good for a top six. Rovers supporters have changed. I know tell me about it, What i would do for one of those 'lucky years' we had playing that type of football. I have never known a team to have such luck over the course of a year really. our 'false' position was incredible over that year too. I would love a false position right now And don’t forget DC was lucky too. Those back to back promotions ? Not down to good signings because his recruitment was poor , those mid table league 1 finishes ? Nah he was out of his depth in league 1 , it was pure luck.

Expectations have truly been lowered if we’re happy avoiding relegation on good fortune and our previous managers success.
If BG can’t get enough points to be well clear of the drop zone in a normal season he shouldn’t be anywhere near in charge for the start of next season.

I think your right , but I’m willing to see how it goes over the next few games, taking one at a time, I’ve got a feeling once we’ve got that first win we’ll improve and hopefully that’ll be tomorrow night.

I have been a regular at Rovers since 1963. "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE". I remember we were safe when John Ward left and Darrell Clark took over we thought we would never drop out the the league. We were anything but safe when John Ward left us; it was a poor side crying out for a striker. John decided we didn't need one and the rest as they say, "is history"

I remember relegation is not an option, twice. We are, by no means, safe from relegation. If we continue to lose then, as you rightly say, anything is possible.

If we lose against Tranmere and the three below us, Blackpool, Lincoln, Shrewsbury all win which, looking at the fixtures is probable, we'll be down to 16th place.
We won't go down because the three at the bottom are thankfully not good enough to put together a good run.
The problem is the longer we carry on without a win the greater the pressure on the players and management gets.

I wonder if BG has his 'own league table' like GC did last season....

Just to cheer us all up:
In season 1965/66 we went 14 League games without a win - 7 draws and 7 losses.
We even missed a late penalty against Millwall that would have given us a first win after 12 games (I was at the game).
The following season we almost went up, finishing in the top six, unfortunately no playoffs in those days!

Since the start of this century the lowest points total for 3rd from bottom has been Luton with 40 points in 2001. However this being a 44 game season then 38 points might be needed. Tranmere’s run in isn’t too bad so an improvement in form isn’t out of the question. A win tonight would ensure our safety this season.

Anyone who thinks we are safe is bonkers! If you cant win and pick up points (Like us since BG has taken over) then your a sitting duck.We are dropping like a stone in the titanic. If we lose tonight we will be 11 points from 3rd bottom.Tonight is nothing but a must win for the future of us going forward into next season under BG.

I’ve said that we won’t go down and think we’ll get another 15 points and with it being a 44 game season it will be enough. Even anywhere from 40 to 45 may be enough, so another 7 would be enough. But with us playing Tranmere it is a very important match and we need to avoid defeat. Lose and the atmosphere around the team will not be good and it gives Tranmere a lift. They are on a worse run than us, over 5 games, and have lost two home games in a week. An early goal and play like we did against Bolton first half and we could be almost safe at 9.30. Lose and I think I’ll avoid this place tonight! UTG!

I feel like we can even make ourselves effectively safe tonight, if we're not already.
