End of.

Where has this idiot minority come from? There's such a contrast with the vast majority of supporters who continue to get behind the team - yet it is undoing all of the benefit of a large support.

Oh dear. Are we ourselves as big a problem to Bristol Rovers as the lack of a striker?
Having said that, players and coaches should realise that a few bad 'uns don't represent the supporters. Not easy though, when you've got some cretin banging on the changing-room window and shouting abuse in at you, as reported at Telford.

He's not wrong at all.
I just don't get it. Our fans act like we're used to winning loads of games, doing well in the league every year and playing amazing attacking football. We've been sh** for years. Clarke is working under a board that no manager has had success with, with a budget halved, with no scouts and no structure
Some sections of 'support' are becoming part of the problem.
Unfortunately, this talk will only anger the idiotic more, which will only be bad for Clarke as the angriest shout the loudest.

I just don't get the attitude of some of our fans.
It's not the current squad that has got us into this mess, if anything they have begun to restore the pride back into the team we love and support. So far they are doing a fantastic job and I'm actually quite angry that a few fans are ruining it for them and giving us a bad name.

I sense it is time for the majority to step up and drown out the idiots.

I think that for some of these people it has nothing to do with football. They just use it as an outlet for their anger at their failed lives.

I don't know how any fan can think that it's going to help the team when they start abusing players 5 minutes into a match. At away grounds, where the crowds are generally much smaller, the abuse can easily be heard on the pitch. The fact that somebody went to the effort of putting posters up at the training ground shows how some people love to channel their negativity, rather than getting behind the club.

I can see why fans are angry at a 0-0 at Alfreton in front of 880 fans!
Lots of our fans will remember games against clubs now in the Premier League and Championship and won't find it acceptable! I'm guessing it's frustration that causes the anger!
It's not the current squads fault, but who doesn't expect to win a game like that!!!
Perhaps the chairman needs to come out and ask the fans to get behind the current squad, and state that the reasons for relegation lie firmly at his door and the squad of 2013/14. Throw in the UWE and a striker and all will be rosy!!!

I would have thought it's pretty obvious why a significant number of fans are expressing their frustration.
We were in League 1 not so long ago. Now we're not even in the Football League.
As a result, we're effectively paying the same amount to see a grossly inferior product.
At this level, we're OK, but we're not exactly walking all over the opposition or playing attractive football. Are we supposed to be deliriously happy that we managed a draw this week against a team of part timers , and couldn't even score a goal? It's unlikely (but still possible, I accept) that we will win the league. IF we get to the play-offs we have a 25% chance of promotion.
We have a manager who took us out of the League and has achieved nothing at this level. Who can be surprised that some fans wanted him out after one week of the season? Since then, he's done nothing to convince me that he will take us back up. And why is he bringing up now something that happened 3 months ago?
People who try and invade team buses deserve what's coming to them, but I don't think the fans can be blamed for feeling angry and frustrated.
Frankly, we deserve better than this.

Anyone with a grasp of football and reality should expect that on any given day, anyone can beat anyone and any club deserves to play any opposition in the league they are in. How patronising was it when Leeds fans came to L1 and thought they had a devine right to beat everyone? It's a stupid attitude and it does no-one any good and the quicker we get out of it the better it will be.

Quite frankly I am both shocked and disgusted by this. This team and manager has done nothing but put in 100% effort and commitment this season and have made a solid start that we can now push on from. All of this under very diffucult circumstamces with budget restrictions and the pressure of being the Rovers side playing in the Conference for the first time despite most of them not being the ones that have put us there.
Yes there have been some frustrating moments, the same as there would be following any side in the world but for some of our so called fans to try and board the team bus, get into the changing room or put up posters calling for a good young manager to be sacked is awful.
I hope both DC and the players realise that these people are in the minority but the negative voices and criticsm are the ones that will always appear loudest. i hope that somehow both DC and the players get the message that the majority of fans are behind them but it cannot be easy to be associated with this club at the moment. The only way we are going to get out of this is together and lets hope these brainless morons relaise this before it is too late.
Rant over.

You're missing the point. We don't not understand some fans feeling frustrated with where we are now?. Most if not all Rovers fans have been frustrated by that over the past year. This however, doesn't mean that we should all go round plastering posters of wanting Clarke out and constantly shouting negative abuse. That is what we can't understand. Especially as Clarke isn't doing a bad job after all. We are supporters after all, we're supposed to support the club not act like negative idiots all the time like some do.

Quite amazing that 'supporters' of this club feel they have a divine right to have a go at players/management/board at every opportunity. OK the football may not be pleasing on the eye and the club should never be in this position. However we are where we are and we are grinding out results. 4th place at this stage of the season is fine by me and we will of course have a few dud results on the way. Even at the end of last season the supporters got behind the team even when it was clear that the players at our disposal simply weren't up to the job.
We have a good, keen and hungry squad who maybe are trying too hard - hence the 'freezing' in front of goal. Verbals from the fans can't be helping their confidence.
I know frustrations can boil over - but surely undermining the team who are obviously doing their best in difficult circumstances cannot be helping.
I for one give DC and the squad my full support.

I hope the Players do not read this forum as their morale would surely be shattered. In particular I am referring to Matt Taylor who has received adverse treatment for not scoring enough goals. While he is not alone in that respect, continued criticism will not inspire them to score. Better to refrain from this pointless activity and instead Chant their names at games especially when they are not playing well. We should let our Team know that we are always on their side which could make the difference to gaining promotion or being also-rans. I would say that I am sorry that after the Braintree match I called for DC to be replaced.
