Agree 365, JCH is very important but the window doesn’t close until early October so there’s plenty of time and I don’t believe that we have recruited so well so far to then go and shoot ourselves in the foot and sell JCH without a replacement. I know what you mean about “can’t afford to sell him” but neither should we allow him to run his contract down like Tom L and risk losing him for nothing. I hope he stays but I’ll understand if he goes and we get a replacement. UT*! In the current climate n9t many clubs are going to be throwing large transfer fees about. If JCH doesn’t attract a really big offer I’d be inclined to keep him until his contract expires. In any event the ball is completely in his court - even if a good offer comes in he doesn’t have to go if he doesn’t fancy the club in question. We can’t sell him against his will. BTW don’t know how we’ve got into a debate about JCH’s departure purely because he has a stomach bug. Perhaps we should be discussing whether Rodman and Daly have played their last game too. Daly and Rodman are leaving too?! Oh no the sky is falling down. JCH didn't sound like a player about to leave when he did his new kit promo video. He should sign what's on the table now, as the grass definitely won't be as green wherever he'd transfer to. If he's reading this forum, he must realise that Rovers is a very special club, and he is becoming a legend here. PS. 365 you need to visit the doctor and get some chill pills 💊. Everything at the club is moving in the right direction at the moment, and even if JCH did leave or we signed a player who didn't meet your high standards, we would re-recruit and move on.

Did he do one this summer? I thought it a bit odd Rodman did the main one and not JC.

I thought it was about kit, but it may have been tickets, I can't remember. Either way, he was talking as if he'd be with us next season.

Watching that, it sounded like he had every intention of playing for Rovers next season.

Strikes me that JCH would have signed by now if he really wanted to stay. My guess is he and his agent are playing a waiting game to see what offers come in. If no better offers than on the table from Rovers then it will only be a few months before they can start pre-contract negotiations for next year at the same time as seeing if we up our offer. He has nothing to loose as he has a contract offer on the table. I think if a half decent offer comes in then he's gone.

A personal training business in Bristol that JCH is a client of just tweeted this and quickly took it down again. On his way?

If this is true, and it could be as Ivan Toney is on the verge of a move away from Peterborough, then I would say the tweet is rubbish, as I wouldn't describe that as a 'fantastic move'.

I guess that might explain why JCH was on fire on Saturday and the rest of the squad seemed to be on a bit of a downer?
Seems a bit of a sideways move for JCH, can they really pay him a lot better wages than we can but still remain within the £2.5m budget cap, not to fuss TBH as if he'll jump ship just to move to P'boro then he'll hardly be up for the cause this season at Rovers. Ryan Healey would be a decent replacement and could well outscore JCH this season.
