I don't use Twitter, but have any club's manager/chairman started following JCH recently?

If he goes, if we are demanding million or 2 for him, we really are poor at negotiating a price. Especially when Peterborough want loads for Toney. I'd be chuffed if we got £2M for him. I don't want him to go but to be fair that would be a decent price for someone who's had 1 and a half prolific seasons at this level. The sums that Posh demand for their players are just ridiculous, and do the volatile market prices no good. Can't blame them though for getting maximum for their assets. And we should be getting the maximum for ours. Got be expecting a few million.

He's 26 so not got that many peak years ahead of him, and he's had some injury problems. I'd say about £2M would be a fair price.

Not sure he was prolific after his injury/GC quit, he basically had just a purple patch under GC for a year, I'd be surprised if we got over £1m from another L1 side, unless Posh have money to burn after selling Toney and JCH is the only decent striker who'd consider joining a team in basically the middle of nowhere.

I think we're in agreement here. I'm saying that if we got £2M, I'd say we'd have a good deal. I'm not expecting us to get that much though.

If he does sign for that rag-arseoutfit then I hope we return the favour and trouser a fortune for an absolute lemon like we’ve signed from them in the past. Luke James and Tom Nichols (shudder) And going back a couple of decades, a pretty run of the mill winger called Wirral Sterling. £100,000 they stiffed us for. Worral Sterling, god the guy was atrocious, him and Channing send shudders down my spine. They'd both walk into our side now. If you think they were atrocious, I hate to think what your views on our current side are

If JCH goes to Peterborough then we may as well give up.

If I’m being honest, I didn’t think for a minute that JCH had a bug. With the hand washing and social distancing commonplace it just seemed odd to me.

He can do a lot better than Peterborough though, seems he’s moving to smaller and smaller clubs from Coventry to us to Peterborough. Who’s next, Salford? I personally don’t mind if he goes, as long as we get fair value then that’s life. His goals will be hard to replace, but they’ll come - they always do. He’s also very rigid as a player, if you don’t play long ball, he ain’t scoring goals

If JCH goes to Peterborough then we may as well give up. I'm mixed on that. It's clear he is our best player but his injury spell last season showed that we have an unhealthy reliance on him. If we could work on 4 players achieving a quarter of his goalscoring output each after he left then we would be far stronger without him .

But selling him to Peterborough? I'm not having that.

We would probably have to break our transfer record to sign Healy. Would be a good signing, but I can't see it. Someone started the rumour on there forum, but then someone else said he was actually injured and someone else said that person is normally right. We will have to see. If JCH leaves, we need a replacement asap. None of our strikers have scored in League 1 before and have not scored in pre season yet. JLM has, but he's more of a wide player. We need a striker.

Just had a quick look, their fans seem like right c*nts. Even more reason to dislike that horrible, fake club.

After the end of the season that he saved us from relegation, I have always said we should not sell him for less than £2M. Personally I think he is worth £5M - £7M. What is the price of relegation for us?
If we sell him to a rival L1 club, we should ask for more, and if we can't afford to, not sell him at all but we have always been a club who do not stand in the progress of our players?

Personally I will be disappointed if he goes to Peterborough. They must be offering a fair amount more than what we are otherwise it just doesn't make sense. Yes ok, they are more likely to be in the promotion mix than us, but I would have expected him to be aiming higher than that. Money talks I guess!
Knowing us we will only get around 500k (but it'll be undisclosed of course!) and then they will get more than 5m for Toney!
If we want any chance of getting anywhere near to replacing his goals we will have to spend ourselves.
With this contract offer on the table for some time you would hope that BG & TW have a list of potential replacements lined up.
