Kilgour has been awful this season and I hope not but have a feeling he is a bang average League 2 centre half and has been over rated-hope I am proved wrong. I think all the players have the ability but would personally like to see Leahy and Kelly out on loan. Always prone to a complete miss kick.At Shrewsbury and Burton near here last season he completely missed the ball a couple of times and did the same in a pre season friendly at Kidderminster.Worrying aspect of his game.

Think it's way too early to be writing him off just yet.

Alfie is league 1 standard. Maybe not at current form but who is in this side? May not be a tippy tappy across back 4 centre half but he gets the ball quicker to the forwards then the midfield and at least shows some passion when he walks out on the pitch. Unlike some who are passing through.
Leahy like brown is a good left back but is better in a traditional formation and is defensively our best left back

Leahy like brown is a good left back but is better in a traditional formation and is defensively our best left back Leahy had gone down to third choice left back and now suddenly, if a new manager wants to play a more traditional four at the back, he could become the first choice left back! Not the best defensively but better than the other two options who are better going forward. I really don't see how someone like Kelly will ever get much of a look in again? Fourth choice left back and played a couple of games in the back three, but even in that position he is only fifth choice, possible even sixth if you think Little can do a job there.

Tutonda. Good going forward, not so good defending. Plus 2 other left / left wing backs. Of course if we play a 4-4-2, I would put him out wide on the left Totally disagree. Been one of the stand out players for us.

What players do you all think are at risk of being ousted when the new manager gets appointed? We've brought in a whole new team but are there any stand out players people feel are looking over their shoulders? jvs - just not good enough, rather play andre jr

A big change for him this season, and he's still learning his trade.

Wonder if ;Little,Barrett or Davies will feature again? Davies should be in the reckoning when he's fully recovered. Barrett has dodged a bullet, so who knows. Little is a short-term option for getting some more experience in the side, without spending any more money (when he's fit).

I think one of the main issues for the new manager will be the size and balance of this squad. For me it’s far to large. Everyone will have their own ideas but if it was me stepping into the managerial role I would like a squad of 22. From what I have seen, hypothetically this is what I would do. Play 4-3-3 with the following squad: starters and back up in brackets GK: jaakkola (Andre jnr) RB Hare (little) RCB: ehmer (Baldwin) LCB: Kilgour (harries) LB: Tutonda (leahy) DM: upson (ogogo) CM: Westbrook (Hargreaves) CM: grant (oztumer*, McCormick*, mehew) RF: Nicholson (daly) ST: hanlan (ayunga) LF: JML* (Walker)
For me that leaves: JVS, Davies, Kelly, koiki, Rodman, Liddle, Barrett, At risk.

We all know what Oztumer has done at this level. Maybe McCormick could be at greater risk having lots of similar players in his position. Of course it all depends on what the new man wants player and formation wise.

Its tough to say, but like others have said on here it depends what formation they want to play.
Flat back four being played. Maybe Harries will be taken out?
Kilgour and Ehmer in the middle?
I think the midfield will be the biggest headache

I have classed mehew, Walker and Tomlinson as they have been around the first team squad and not so much u23s anymore. I wasn’t aware koiki could play a more advanced role so maybe his position would be safe if we were to not sign JML on a permanent.

We have a goalkeeper coach.Surely if Andre Jnr was better than JVS he would be in the squad by now? What makes some think Andre is a better keeper? I am not impressed by JVS but have a feeling that Andre is worse.

I completely forgot above Davies when I was saying we have too many defenders! He is a very good league one no nonsense defender did well last season before getting injured. He is not the ball playing defender BG wanted but at this level I still believe you need at least one no nonsense defender. I would even go as far as calling him captain material, a player who can lead by example. People say our young defenders miss having someone like Tony Craig beside them. Davies could take on that role.

Whats to lose and after all its what that sh** competition is all about isnt it
