I wouldnt be surprised to see one or more of our loanees go back in Jan, not because they aren't decent players but more due to them all being midfielders and an area we have lots of options in. Easier to cut a loan short than move on a player under contract. You can’t terminate loans early anymore...can you? Pretty sure that changed recently Didnt realise that had changed, Tisdale has a job on his hands making too many changes come Jan then. He has to find a way of getting at least one striker through the door

I actually think Tom Davies could play a role in the “Tisdale turnaround” as a defender he has consistency, experience and aerial ability, things we lack from Harries, Baldwin and Kilgour IMO. If he can overcome his injury and get fit again, he’ll be like a new signing. I agree. He doesn't fit the specifications of a BG type defender, but as an actual defender, he is very good at this level. People say we miss the no nonsense leadership of Tony Craig to help the other out. If Davies can get fit again soon, I feel he can also play that role. The only problem is he has to get fit soon. I assume he only signed a two year deal so if he doesn't get at least a few months of games towards the end of the season he will probably be off next summer. We really miss Craig. Bombed out a season early. Whether your playing 3, 4 or 5 at the back you need an experienced player at the centre of defence. Craig was that player and everybody benefited, especially Kilgour from his presence. Craig knew all the dark arts of defending and would deight in making the life of the opposing centre forward thoroughly miserable. I suppose Ehmer was supposed to fill the gap left by Craig. At present it hasn't happened which is really disappointing. Ehmer came to us with a fanfare of trumpets but to date he hasn't really dominated at the back. He seems to leave players unmarked whereas Craig would be right in their faces. Since last season, Kilgour's form and confidence has evaporated. Under Garner, Kilgour became, at best, a squad player. Last season, he was touted as a real saleable asset. What has gone wrong?
