Not fair to go piling in on him after he has been manager for half a week, but he clearly got it a bit wrong today. Team setup too defensive against a Swindon team who looked shaky at the back. Subs were poor as well, it was clear by halftime we needed a bit of quality in Midfield, so don't know why he took so long to bring on Westbrooke and then not bring on Oztumer at all. Also a very strange decision to bring on defenders when you're a goal down with 5 minutes to go. Don't think Harries at the base of midfield particularly worked and can't understand why Josh Grant wasn't playing there.
Having said all that, he has hardly had a chance to see any of these players play so give him at least another couple of games before making any sort of judgement.

PT will be seen as the biggest mistake made the board when we get relegated this season. Need to get rid of him asap.It was a knee jerk decision getting rid of BG and the same applies to the appointment of PT PT out, Rovers69 in, that will keep us up

I get feelings are still raw off the back of what was a truly dire performance but all this criticism of Tisdale when he’s only had 2 full days to get to know his players is a bit ridiculous. he HAS to be criticised for the subs. Even if you don't know their strengths - or even their names - you must know bringing 2 defenders on with minutes to go and a goal down is complete incompetence. Well it would be if the forwards we had on the field were even recognizable as attackers.

Haha! Have a look at yourselves.. After 20+ games of no little or no management, my posts were attacked because I dared venture to enter the realms of BG out. Ahem, 'let's give it more time'....30 odd matches at least! A disappointing result, we looked better after the formation change. I didn't think it was a free kick for them leading to the goal but if you can't mark one of the smallest men on the pitch in your own box, you're going to constantly be in trouble because this happens all too often. Perhaps if Harries wasn't subbed, he might have got a head in? At least Tis tried to proactively effect change, with formation change and first sub, it was unfortunate it didn't work. But the reason we're in the relegation zone isn't because we lost one match... Of course that is true. But what was worrying to me today was that we looked as though we had the opposite of a 'new manager bounce'. Confidence, energy, decision making were all awful. All the players looked nervous. PT may have had 2 days, but someone clearly told the players not to play it around at the back and to get the ball forward as soon as possible. I like Kilgour, great that he is one of ours, but today almost every decision he made defensively was the wrong one. And whilst performances under BG were inconsistent, I never saw us give away so much good possession. Let's hope the man management skills of PT are good because he will need them in abundance over the next few days.

What have we done? We rightly got rid of the worst manager in our history.
I know I've been critical of the performance and game management (which is justified IMO), but what have we done? Seriously?

Appointing Garner was the correct decision.
He fit the bill of what we wanted but sadly it didnt work out on the pitch for whatever reason.
Sacking him was also the right decision.
I'd have done it last year, but at least it got done.
Appointing Tisdale was the wrong decision and I was extremely underwhelmed.
It remains to be seen if it will work out but we have to give him time to prove any doubters wrong.

I dunno. The first thing that happened after those substitutions was Hare bombed down the wing got a long ball and won a corner. And he did the same again 2 minutes later. Not saying he couldn't have done that with 4 at the back, but istm the idea of bringing Baldwin on was to free up the wingbacks. Exactly and had it worked with two goals stemming from good wing play then PT would be hailed as a genius and we'd be nailed on for the playoffs!

If Tisdale is the best man fine, but we didn’t even invite any sort of application process. From one guy to the other in a blink of an eye.

Nothing too much Tisdale could do about this one😂.
The playwes though is a different story.
Usually when a new manager comes in, they all step up a couple of gears to impress the new manager so they become apart of his starting 11.
Well, that didnt happen today did it?

Kilgour is a liability hurry up and come back Tom Davies What happened to the bloke over the summer? Arguably our best player last season but now he just looks lost. Maybe needs an arm around him, get a bit of confidence back because we have all seen there is a very good player in there. Glad we didn't give him the captaincy because if he was playing like this as the captain you wouldn't hear the end of it.

As just said, the late subs were designed to allow Hare and the other wing back to get forward and get some crosses in as Swindon were sitting back. Hare did get forward during that brief spell. Not a negative substitution in my eyes.

He was obviously at his best with a stalwart head alongside him and simple instructions. He’ll probably go on to flourish elsewhere but he’s probably not going to that that support plus the simple instruction from a generally inexperienced defence with a mandate to play pretty passing football.

Obviously only 1 game but unbelievably worrying signs today. 1) One of the worst displays of the last decade 2) Late substitutions - we were crap at 0-0, then we go a goal down and still nothing 3) When we finally do, we bring on 2 defenders I mean this is f**king basic stuff. The fact is we were warned about this by both Exeter and MK Don's fans. Doesn't mean he won't improve or turn it round obviously. But that is the most alarming management display I could have ever imagined. The stuff of nightmares doesn't even cover it. Unbelievably concerned. OMG - 1 Game !!!!!! Give the bloke a chance UTG

We gave Garner twenty odd games and he took us from 6th to the brink of relegation and some still think he wasn't give a fair crack. Tisdale has had 48 hrs and one game and he's the worst manager ever. This place is a joke.
