Slightly off topic but do we have an idea when Tom Davies is likely to return?
Feel we could really do with his height, aerial prowess, physicality & vocal leadership at the back.

Christ Hollyhillgas, What are you suggesting doing...relegate us for certain? There are lots of candidates of players who are not getting a look in but I would try to get rid of Upson, Harries, Kelly, Little,JML, Leahey and everyone needs to shape up.They are all as bad as one another at the moment. Otzumer, Nicholson ,Annsi, Hanlan,Daly are the chinks of light!! Just going by the last 60 year tradition of selling off the family silver. If Rovers didn't need the money, they would have got Cotterell not Tisdale.

It’s the first time in a long time that I genuinely wouldn’t mind any of our players leaving, other than the keeper. What we have is very mediocre squad, with very little experience. The ones with experience, like Ehmer, Baldwin and Westbrook aren’t performing anywhere near the required level. Hanlan is good, but he’s not a striker and there are better goal scorers out there. Our lack of a goalscorer will kill us this season, as I was saying back at the beginning of September. It’s criminal that we are left with what we have. There won’t be a DC next year to get us back up either. Very depressing.

Getting Westbrooke off the payroll would be a fantastic start.
I'd also try to offload Harries and maybe Baldwin if Davies returns to full fitness.
JML might as well return to Derby as he's hardly featured but I'd keep McCormick.
Could also get rid of JVS and bring in a young keeper on loan as backup to Jaakkola. Can't be any worse than JVS.

Would also try to offload the youth coach from Chelsea garner brought here. Get cureton in as an striker coach. I never understand this approach, people wanting a "coach" based on nothing other that he popped a few in during his career... Agree Dave, but do think we need someone within the coaching set up that gets us and the club in general

I’ve purposely not spent too much time on here today or really read the threads until now as after tonight’s result I knew what I’d find - a massive overreaction to the defeat.
Yes the performance was poor but up until the first goal we were the better side and looked like it was only a matter of time before we scored. Once the first went in, we lost all confidence and became timid and scared and put in a poor performance with no passion or strength.
The amount of scapegoating of players on here is unbelievable! The majority of these players are extremely talented and are technically better than what we had before them... Baldwin and Ehmer have been pretty good together prior to last night and were saying get rid.... Westbrooke and Grant have been good (but not exceptional) .....
The call for Ogogo is an interesting one as he has a lot of energy but is not as amazing in my eyes .,I’m not sure he would add or change anything - especially as he gets booked pretty much every game....
For me I’d send JML back and maybe sell Upson and bring in 2 centre forwards or bring in one forward and keep Upson

After all steve Yates was only a defender who headed the ball sometimes and we didn't do to bad when he was in the set up

Annsi, Ehmer, Oztumer, McCormick, Nicholson, Daly and Hanlon are worth having in my opinion.. wouldn’t be bothered if any of the others in the squad left.. would love to replace every fullback at the club asap!

Good players don’t equate to good coaches. Good coaches don’t equate to good managers.

We need bad players to coach our players and bad coaches to manage our players.dont know why teams dont do this more often.

Hasn’t coached for a couple of years and was Only ever part time at Exeter anyway wasn’t he? Was a full time coach there for nine years and hasn’t been with a club since June 2018. Had previously worked with Tisdale at Team Bath as well.

Coaches and managers are a bit like players. They can look world beaters at some levels but struggle a few divisions higher .

Totally agree with this. Never felt so dispirited with the lack of quality at our disposal. We are playing third tier professional football and about 60% of the squad are simply not up to it.
