I would get Coughlin back. Had a dream we won away at Ipswich and were in the top four.Love to know why he really left.

I will give an example.. . Rochdale were shocked when Henderson left and they received nothing. We just sold JCH for 1.3 million plus add one. We both showed interested in Humpries from Southend . The bid from Rochdale was more appealing and better than ours. If this is true it says everything. Rochdale were able to outbid us .... They weren’t able to outbid us, I believe it was something to do with Humphries wanting to move back up north to be closer to his family. Sometimes that happens in football transfers. Provide a link then ??

Tisdale was the wrong appointment from day one. Total narcissist. Legend in his own lunchtime.

If we were in for Humphries then why did we only sign Hanlan on a free and Ayunga from the NLS? We just seem to scrap about signing other clubs rejects, apart from Nicholson I can't see we signed one player last summer who was sought after by other L1 clubs. Somebody said earlier in the thread it's not PT's fault as players are off form but until this recent poor run we'd been on a decent run of results. I still don't get why PT went all out v Sheff Utd then the towel in v Wimbledon, as winning the latter may have restored some confidence, now we're looking at q 6 game losing run.

You can read that two ways !. It says ' sizeable offer" and on O.S site it says " we beat off competition". So a better offer than ours can't be ruled out 100%.

Back to the OP, our last 3 away results before BG was sacked were:
Rochdale 1-1 Shrewsbury 1-0 Lincoln 2-1
Our last 3 away games under PT:
Oxford 0-2 Crewe 2-3 MK Dons 2-0
With Peterborough up next away on Tuesday!

I wanted BG out towards the end of February when it was clear he wasn’t the right man for the job. PT is going down the same road. He wasn’t in my top 5 choices when we took the reigns but I wanted him to succeed. I’m far from convinced. We are easy to beat and offer nothing going forward. If anything, we have regressed.

Is this even a question? Garner took over a team flying, 4th place in the league and presided over a run of form that saw them plummet down the table. Then he overhauled a group of players (Craig, JCH, Sercombe) that I only wish we still had in the side and replaced them with the one of the most overhyped, mediocre group of players I have seen at Rovers. Tisdale is just picking up the pieces and trying to work with a lacklustre, imbalanced squad and a bunch of injuries. I know his team selection has been very questionable as of late but I’d 100% rather have him and his experience in the dugout than Garner. Agree 100%.. BG was a rookie manager that should have not had been anywhere near a football league clubs job.As said before, he took over a job where we were 4th of L1 going for promotion and ended up getting fired.FACT PT has taken over possibly the most imbalanced squad that I can remember in my near 30 years supporting the Gas and is dealing with injurys and the mess he was left with, yet has still got some results apart from the past 5 games. Im willing to bet £50 that we wont go down with PT in charge. We have some real gems in our squad, but have no balance to it which is BG's fault.Even if we go down I would keep PT as he is a quality lower level manager and a gashead to boot.

The disappointment with PT for me is that I was expecting an experienced manager to quickly settle in to a chosen formation and style of play and quickly determine his best XI (subject to injuries etc) but we seem no nearer to any of these. Still way too early to write him off but these are certainly worrying times.

Unfair this. PT is picking up the pieces of somebody else's mess and it is going to take some time. Sure, I'm not happy with the team selection for the past couple of games but I can (just about) see some logic in going with an defensive approach given we have a paucity of attacking options without Nicholson or Otzumer.
The blame for this horror show lies with Widdrington and Ben Garner. I have never in my entire life seen a man more out of his depth than Garner. Under his "stewardship" a losing culture set in at this club and that is going to take some time to eradicate again.
As for Widdrington, he's had a huge success with one player, arguably two in Nicholson, but he's escaping a lot of flack for the others. The left back and striker situations, going into this season, is absolutely scandalous.

I’m sure some people come on here happy to moan when we have lost, almost the highlight of their weekend, to post rubbish. Garner no Coughlan no, Tisdale needs another striker this week and see if we can offload some players but that won’t be easy. Ask, who wants them? We wanted them in the summer, sure Frome would take some.

Surely the whole BoD need to take the blame, they appointed BG and must have rubber stamped his signings, can you see Peterborough doing something similar? As far as Tisdale after Tuesday's defensive horror show I can't understand why Williams didn't start today, allowing Ehmer to move to CH. Although why was Hanlan tasked with picking up Taylor on corners when we had 4 CB's plus Grant on the pitch?

Even putting aside their complete lack of ability, I'm struggling to recall when we last had such a gutless, meek squad of individuals. Most other clubs would've shown Widdrington the door, along with the idiot the "selection committee" he was a part of appointed, but Rovers decided to promote him to a seat on the board! Beggars belief really 😂 Maybe because he’s a nice , softly spoken bloke. I’m worried that there’s a pattern here. Garner , Tisdale , Widdrington all nice people , educated, similar to Wael all appointed or liked liked by Wael. Coughlan a really tough type who speaks as he’s thinking leaves and whatever you lot say nobody really knows for 100% why he left. I’m not saying I’ve got all the answers and I think Wael is great but I am a bit worried he’s filling the club with nice people who are signing nice lads to play for the team whilst leaders like Lockyer Coughlan , Craig have left and there’s fast becoming a leadership void at the club. Some strong characters and leaders needed certainly on the pitch ASAP.
