Don't blame the conductor, blame the man who hired the orchestra, Widdrington has set the club back 5 years with his recruitment and as for Garner the recipient of Widdrington's junk, what was someone on at the time to even believe Garner could manage any team at any level let alone a Div 1 side. Something has to give in the next week or so, either Tisdale goes after Rochdale or Widdrington and Starnes leave, the buck has to stop with somebody.

This is a bit of a wake up call to fans who for years always argued for youth players and on the deck football. They did what most armchair pundits wanted. We made a trading ground. We bought young hungry players and real footballers. This is maybe why it’s not as easy as it seems. I saw a post earlier about why we weren’t surrounding the referee. This sums it up. They are shot of confidence. There is no team spirit. There’s no talking, no leaders. We are basically a very poor version of what arsenal were, minus any success. I really am an optimist usually but I think this may be it. Unless anything changes, and I can’t see that happening, we will be in league 2 next season. There was nothing today to convince me otherwise. All year it’s been like playing teams a league above. Faster, stronger, more organised. They literally look like they don’t know what they’re doing. I was very patient with Garner but what he and wriddlington did here, whoever is responsible, have got this all wrong. That team have serious problems in all areas. You have little glimpses of some good footballers in there. It looks like under 21s v men’s teams. Other sides are stronger, wiser, and know exactly what they’re doing. I feel for Wael. They really tried doing things the right way, but we are triple fried f& ,&/@/ as I see it.

I have lost all confidence in the suits to be honest...
Widdrington has been promoted for his incompetence. I have very little belief in him now.
Starnes has made two seriously poor calls in manager appointment. He has set us in a course now without rudder or sail.?
PT ... starting to believe his own bullshit now ... he is either incredibly honest and says it as it really is ( and we are plucked although he doesn’t see it) or is pretty arrogant about his ability to turn it around.
If it is true we have no striker planned then we need to truly start thinking about L2 next season as this bunch of players are awful and disrespect the Quarters and what they stand for.

Peterborough 0 points, the big one is Rochdale ,lose that and the writing is on the wall, PT has a big job on to keep us up, it would help if he picked a team that was set up to win.

Unfair this. PT is picking up the pieces of somebody else's mess and it is going to take some time. Sure, I'm not happy with the team selection for the past couple of games but I can (just about) see some logic in going with an defensive approach given we have a paucity of attacking options without Nicholson or Otzumer. The blame for this horror show lies with Widdrington and Ben Garner. I have never in my entire life seen a man more out of his depth than Garner. Under his "stewardship" a losing culture set in at this club and that is going to take some time to eradicate again. As for Widdrington, he's had a huge success with one player, arguably two in Nicholson, but he's escaping a lot of flack for the others. The left back and striker situations, going into this season, is absolutely scandalous. Nonsense. He should have carried out his homework on us before taking the job and walked into it full of ideas, plans, tactics and most important, knowledge of the squad to hit the ground running. Tisdale whilst not having the best squad in L1 still has the ability to pick teams, tactics and formations that can keep us in games and win us games. But his squad selection is baffling, tactical set up stupid, formations that dont suit the players skill set, in game substitutions non sensicle and hes lost 5 league games out of 9. Hes full of excuses and has a complete inability to admit he got it wrong. He tried to insult our intelligence on tuesday by insisting we were good enough to win the game. We got absolutely battered first half and when we did get back into it, we couldnt defend, couldnt and didnt fight back when we did concede and he did nothing to influence the game. What other football manager, when you are losing 1-0, 3-2 or 2-0 subs brings on another defender, takes of a wingback for a CH, doesnt put any other attackers on? The only one ive seen do it is Tisdale. What other football manager plays an out and out CB at RB or RW when you have 2 fit RBs and you sign a 3rd? Only Tisdale. We all questioned McGhee when he was losing games by big margins or without putting up a fight. We wanted his head when he played Tom Parkes at left wing and Adam Virgo up front because we thought he had lost his mind. McGhee also spoke a good game and had a silver tonqued eloquence that sounded like he knew what he was doing and I see absolutely no difference in Tisdale. Hes never cut it at this level, had a 31% win ratio at this level when he took over and its down to 30% now. We need a 36% win ratio just to survive so what do you think Tisdale has now that can keep us up? Wigan, who are playing with kids and non contract players are making a better fight of it and were 12 points adrift of us when we played them! Wael does have a chance to sort this, but he must act now. He needs to get a striker in ASAP, see if Paul Cook will come here until the end of the season to sort it out, and if he will come sack Tisdale. Its the only option for survival I can actually see. Tisdale out.

I would get Coughlin back. The bloke treated us like absolute sh**. Then went and did a terrible job at Mansfield. What is it about him that makes you want him back?

I would get Coughlin back. The bloke treated us like absolute sh**. Then went and did a terrible job at Mansfield. What is it about him that makes you want him back? Perhaps the fact over 12 months we had the best form in L1 and we managed to bank us £1m+ when we sold JCH plus he also signed arguably the best goalie we've had since Nigel Martin. Whether he could repeat that feat is the great unknown. Whether he treated us like s### is the great unknown, the fact Garner went down the young kids route playing attractive football, does suggest there may well have been a fall out between Wael and GC over which direction the club was heading, forcing GC to look elsewhere.

I didnt know he had, I dont know the reasons and the manager I thought that was going there was McCarthy who had been approached before Harris was sacked according to an agent friend of mine, but the owner at Cardiff sees anything other than play offs as a failure and if the remit is get them there but he doesnt think its possible then why would he? What solution do you see?

Perhaps he turned that job down in the hope that he'd get a 6 months contract with us 😂😂😂 Exactly topper. Widely reported he was only offered a six month contract at Cardiff and turned it down. He has been interviewed for the Sheff Wed job and they have still not appointed anyone. Not surprising that Mccarthy then took the job, quite obviously for six months money to tide him over, just like his recent foray abroad.

Has Paul Tisdale done something to upset Wael ? ?? Well it seems to me that the group of posters who won’t have a word said against Wael are the same group who were lukewarm about Paul Tisdale from the start and now, after he has been here for only two months, are already calling for his head. If we didn’t know any better we might almost think that Wael wasn’t actually in favour of the appointment. In his last interview with Sam Frost Wael told us that Rovers are in a “grave situation” and if that is truly the case then I would respectfully suggest that this is not the time to be playing silly b*ggers.

Hanlan cost the best part of $100k, didn't he? No idea a fee was never disclosed, not sure a out of contract U24 striker who only scored 4 league goals last season would go for £100K? This is Bristol Rovers, we’ve got form.

Even putting aside their complete lack of ability, I'm struggling to recall when we last had such a gutless, meek squad of individuals. Most other clubs would've shown Widdrington the door, along with the idiot the "selection committee" he was a part of appointed, but Rovers decided to promote him to a seat on the board! Beggars belief really 😂 Maybe because he’s a nice , softly spoken bloke. I’m worried that there’s a pattern here. Garner , Tisdale , Widdrington all nice people , educated, similar to Wael all appointed or liked liked by Wael. Coughlan a really tough type who speaks as he’s thinking leaves and whatever you lot say nobody really knows for 100% why he left. I’m not saying I’ve got all the answers and I think Wael is great but I am a bit worried he’s filling the club with nice people who are signing nice lads to play for the team whilst leaders like Lockyer Coughlan , Craig have left and there’s fast becoming a leadership void at the club. Some strong characters and leaders needed certainly on the pitch ASAP. Nailed it
