Something doesn’t sit right with me on this, I feel like someone else has written this message.. I guess we shouldn’t complain though, the club and potentially players do realise how watered off we all are. I do get the feeling though that for this to happen, whether he wrote it or not, the players have had an absolute bollocking. Now it’s time to put those words into action. Otherwise it means nothing. Perhaps our Manager has read the riot act and told Ehmer as the Captain to write an open letter to the fans. Why read anymore into it than that?

Someone on Twitter said to me the other day about what I expected from the club after tuesday, maybe a refund on our matchday pass. I said I wanted an apology from our manager, our captain and club captain as well as our DOF and also some commitment that they will turn it around. I guess we kind of have one here but it would have been nice if it was from the horse mouth in front of a camera. I also expect Tis to apologise in some way too if his ego will allow and he can pull himself away from writing his next daily Mail column. Of course I would prefer it if he was sacked but I’ll take an apology for starters. I don't suppose you have an agenda towards PT do you?

I’m not buying that. Actions speak louder than words.

The letter has been published, that's good enough for me and hopefully we will now see players busting a gut in every game from now until end of season. As for the odd article in a national newspaper, the man is entitled to spend some time at home and I would suggest is entitled to do what he wants in his leisure time. To even suggest as you appear to have been doing for quite sometime that PT is not spending every waking hour on BRFC business, seems to me that you have some agenda against him.

Talk is cheap, Max. Start doing it on the pitch and there's no need for open letters to the fans. And this letter should have been published at least 24 hours ago. Smacks of trying to placate the fans given the extent of the fall-out from Tuesday. Isn't that the whole point, I doubt if any pro footballer is going to sit at home and think "I'd better send an open letter apologising to the fans after I had a stinker in the last match". I'm surprised you didn't complain thar it wasn't hand delivered personally to all iFollow subscribers!! Here we go again. A genuine apology by Tisdale and the player should have been issued immediately after the game. That would have been more meaningful. That's the point.

Not proving me wrong either at the moment. Sadly.

No way has that been written by Ehmer ...
Probably written by Tisdale and rubber stamped by Starnes, uploaded by Gorringe.

Well if you're including that lot as culpable then I'm surprised you didn't add Wael too. 🤔 If I thought he was culpable for the utterly inept performance in Accrington from his home in Jordan then I would have done. I don’t directly blame Starnes for that performance either ... The ones I do blame are the ones I have mentioned. I do blame Wael for not sacking him on Tuesday however and if i thought for one minute that I would get an answer as to why he hasn’t just yet, I would ask him. But I see little point in doing that when he’s likely well aware that 50% of the posters on him want him gone anyway (according to the poll) and I’m one of them.

Thats fair enough, but why you bought up sacking Tisdale and his writings for the daily mail on a thread about Max Ehmer writing a statement is just a bit obsessive....

It was stated in the context of what I had written Greg.

Blimey if I was the captain of that side after Tuesday I’d have written the letter on the coach home. No reason to think he didn’t write it. Down here I haven’t seen any letters anywhere from Southampton apologising for their performance against Man U, so fair do to the club and Max. It’s crappy I know, but it’s a first step, to be followed hopefully, by some action on Saturday. UTG!

This is an obvious cover up for the appalling interview that our less than capable manager gave after the performance the other evening. No doubt about it the club has read social media and are covering up for our leaders failure to make an apology straight after that performance. He is obviously going to be in charge on Saturday and the only thing that should count is if he can get a performance and result out of the team.

Yep. Not buying that. Actions speak louder than words too but there’s no way ME has written that tbh. Why? Ah, I get it, because it was not written in German!

It’s a nice gesture which says “we know it wasn’t good enough” but if anything I empathise with the players. I genuinely don’t think it wasn’t for lack of trying, and I don’t see what this achieves.
It could actually be because Tisdale feels they aren’t applying themselves, and wants to make this hurt so they get to work.
In which case I may take back what I said about passion and fight not being the issue.
Or it could just be what clubs do when they get tonked
